By far my favorite map of any gears game is mansion from the original game. I know this would be a minor step towards satisfying many veteran gears players. Any O.G. (original gears)veterans agree?

Oh, and the Gears of War 1 version. The ORIGINAL version. If they must add some kind of Swarm effect that’s fine, but the dark atmosphere and the rain must be there.

Probably quite difficult, as there’s already a huge collection of older maps they can choose from. You could try making a poll with map choices by the time Gears 5 gets out, maybe it’ll have a chance.

I totally agree that is the one map i really miss! I thought it was pretty cool back then…I would love to see it now with the graphics! BRING MANSION BACK!!!

I knew this had to be favorited by many others as well. I remember the old days. I literally only joined matches that were mansion,canals,and fuel depot. Seeing as how canals and fuel depot have been granted a further lifespan i think mansion definitely deserves a place in the future of the series. Other mentions …old bones and subway

I have a very strong feeling our legacy maps will be a lot of fan favourites this time round.
I have said many times we should only get remakes of maps that AT MOST have had 2 versions across all games.
I would also prefer maybe 3-4 maps dropping 3 times a year say, rather that the 2 a month we got. That was too much for TC…as we all know.
On the subject of maps I wonder:
How many if any originals from 4 will get remakes?
How many maps will ship, day 1. Im going 10.

Agreed though, it was too much maps per month and dried up the content available for this game very quickly.

No they rather bring back maps like Security
It’d probably play like ■■■■ like the rest of the legacy maps. The weapon tuning ruins all the old maps. Gridlock, blooddrive etc.
Mansion, River & Jacinto were always my favorites.

As long as it has the older dark, rainy & haunting vibe, then yes.
Then again, I’d take Mansion back at any variation.
