I have this exact issue. Will upload video and insert that here.

3 playthrough attempts, twice skipped tutorials last played through it still no difference

You know what @TC_Sera likes to say… submit a ticket.

Haven’t tried this mode yet. Heck, I haven’t even updated the game on my PC yet. Maybe I’ll wait until this is fixed unless I was lucky and it doesn’t occur for me…

Same issue. Steam auto-updated.

Stuck on loading screen for Chapter 1, Mission 2, for both with new Jack and new Classic .

Trying to gather a ton of info before I submit it so this can hopefully be fixed.

Downloading the ms store version to see if it happens on both or just steam.

Are you on steam or windows store for it?

As a workaround I installed this via gamepass (windows store) and it allows me to progress)

At this stage it looks like a steam only issue. Edit: This turns out to be incorrect.

Can people (and i will myself) put in a ticket to https://support.gearstactics.com/hc/en-us/requests/new with as much detail as possible including platform, hardware details etc

I came here seeing if other people were having this issue. I downloaded it from Gamepass today via Windows store and am having the same issue. Won’t load Act 1 Chapter 2.

Steam so if I run into the issue I’ll post it in here too. Not sure when to go back to Tactics yet though, seeing as I haven’t really gone back to it in a few months and not even having finished an Experienced difficulty playthrough.

Side note, anyone else yet run into a soft lock by having a frag planted at the very edge of an e-hole and it closing the hole but the game then just staying focused on the not open hole any longer infinitely? I found that one out by accident when a Scout unit of mine only barely had enough range to reach the edge of where the hole would open, plant the grenade and move outside of the danger zone.

So, it wasn’t just me that had this problem. Seems like proper QA testing is completely out the window at the moment. At least the one mission unlocks Gabe.

Funny, I had no issues getting through that mission, yet I see so many people reporting the problem. (Steam)

I’ve encountered another bug, The mission where you fight across the bridge, at the end Gabe isn’t able to go down the ladder, This can be fixed by chucking a grenade at him and reviving him when he goes down.

Chapter 2 mission 2 : finished it and yet I can’t continue because is says troop are still in a mission . Tried it 3 times with the same result. Can’t continue :pensive:
