Yes It will be available on Xbox One/Xbox Serie X.
@mjrdecision Dana, dunno if you can answer this or not… but I am curious why on the MicroSoft Store, Gears Tactics - Xbox shows up as a Play anywhere title, but Gears Tactics - Base Game (Win10) does not.
Does this mean the version that releases on Nov. 10 is separate entirely, giving us two different versions to play on PC? Or is this some weird display glitch making it look like two separate games when it is really just 1?
I am 99% sure it’s one achievement list.
I know that isn’t definitive.
I could make compelling arguments for and against that.
Reason to say one list:
The Xbox version says it is PlayAnywhere
Reason to say two lists:
The PC version does not say it is PlayAnywhere
The fact there is a PC version and Xbox version listed
Is it possible that PlayAnywhere will start applying to games that have XBOne & Series X/S versions that share cloud saves?
There is only 1 list
As someone who has already played Gears tactics on PC I can confirm it’s the same achievement list. Attached are the achievements that I have unlocked on my playthrough of gears tactics displayed in the Xbox app

There is a large likelihood it will be updated since PC will not be play anywhere until the 11th so to have it currently displayed from when Gears Tactics launched, it would be nothing more than a lie.
You made my day, thank you
No problem Ghost, happy to help.
Tactics, and maybe Flight Simulator (if available) plus everything else thats on GamePass, coupled with all them delicious horsepowers is almost enough for me to blindly pre-order Sep 22. My lone hesitancy is that developers will not work up a 60 fps patch on legacy titles. Stuff like Recore, Ryse, Gears UE Campaign, Dead Rising 3 and 4. Fallout 4, and 76, GTA 5, Assassins creed, and so on and so forth. The Series X (along with the S as well) should run all these, and pretty much every other big 30fps open world game of the last generation at 60hz without breaking a sweat. But the question is - will they do it?

Somehow works better actually
Nextbox, nice pun
Any chance this game comes out on disc for the Xbox? I still mostly buy physical games
It’s unlikely this late in the game, but still hoping for a sweet collector’s edition!
Looking on the Store, if you pre-order the game or play the game on GamePass before 4 December 2020, you unlock the Thrashball Cole character pack.
I’m pretty certain you’ll be able to buy it in disc format.
Its cross play and cross save between MS store on PC and Console, so I don’t think it will have an extra list.
It will likely get more achievements with the new content
There’s still a remote possibility they do a separate list. Like an original (PC only) and rerelease. Might explain why folks late to the original don’t get the Cole Train, but for the November release, you can get Cole Train by playing before sometime in December.
I still see no reason to have 2 different listings in the MS Store if there is only 1 shared list. Gears 4 & Gears 5 both have 1 listing each, play on both console & PC, with 1 shared list for each. Gears 1 U.E. has 2 listings, with 2 separate lists.
But it worries me when asking a simple yes/no question like this to TC, @mjrdecision, etc and it gets ignored. It brings back the whole “generous conversion rate” debacle of converting Scrap to Gears Coins.
All it would take is for someone at TC to answer 1 question to settle all speculation: Will the Tactics version for consoles that releases in November have a separate achievement list from the PC version that released in April?
I just got to download a 28 gig update on Xbox.
Thought I’d be able to cheat the system and set my console time to November 11th to play early but still got hit with the “You’re too early” message.
Got me TC
