Just did the first mission. Have to admit that it will take a bit to get use to, as I have not played any games as such ever I think.
No matter I will be playing more of tactics. I did enjoy it.
Extremely fun. It’s a bit of a learning curve as I haven’t played many strategy games, but I’m having fun.
Although I have noticed a few bugs where encounters will spawn and then the game will freeze, forcing you to reload the mission. But that’s nitpicking lol. Great game.
Where was the training
I read gabe skin for gears 5 is unlocked when you finish the training but I didn’t even see any training lol
Insane is stupidly difficult. This game needs NG+ pronto. I want to enjoy the game, it’s a genre I like, but it’s annoying not having good upgrades and being shafted on being put to near death from drones, that you do a 3rd of the damage to or equivalent, no 2nd chances when 100% is lost.
Act 1 is a pain enough as it is. I can’t enjoy it. I’ve been shafted all day just trying to get past Act 1, Chapter 3
I think it is complete an entire Act now ?
The entire first mission effectively serves as the tutorial.
The skin is awailable on Nov 17th
Never played xcom, so “tactics” made me think FFTA. Not quite the same, but nonetheless happy with the game overall. Love that i can customize and equip my characters for a variety of roles. Only gripe is that novement cists AP. Sometimes i just need to move 1 spot over and its a waste of ap, yknow? Personally, i think ap and movement should be separate. Other than that, love the game and hope theyll add more. I think a pvp mode would actually be fun in this game. Or maybe a pve coop system of cycling missions. Each person could bring their favorite character
This game is average at best. Like I said in another thread, Wasteland 3 is way better and more fun.
Anyone playing it on insane difficulty? I started of with that and then was like ■■■■ this, would take way too long to get through for what its worth. So changed it and started again.
So far, the side missions are way too samey.
The movement in this game is flawed. You also end up getting ambushed most of the time, as you move forward… you cant see ahead till you move and when you get there, you’ve used all your AP up. Then the enemy is right there, which allows them to attack first.
If you’re playing Jacked Mode, use Jack as a sort of scout. Send him ahead and leave him an action point to cloak so you know what you’re up against.
Tried playing it. it’s not my thing. I rather have played this the regular way.
Reyna is fine as ■■■■.
So I downloaded OP5, still no Gabe…You guys have same problem?
I had a message when telling me he was unlocked and he was a blue rarity.
Perhaps try restarting your game
Yes, restarting helped. Thx a lot
I’ve done that, but I shouldn’t have to do the same thing over and over. There’s no tactics repeating the same thing.
Also the boss levels on this game, just seem long and drawn out for no reason other than to make it longer. I was literally getting bored.
These so many new moves you can find in the game, dont just stack on one class. Str games bore out soon if you play every mission with only the same way.
But these are videos further into the game. I’ve only just got Reyna.
It doesn’t change my opinion on the stuff I’ve said.
Like you clear the enemies so you can open a gate, yet if you have a sniper sitting further back… you still have to waste AP and or turns just to move them up to the gate.
what?.? When you play xcom you also need to “move” to extraction point.
Even in gears5 escape you need to “move” to safe room/extraction point.
The game let you reposition your unit before opening the gate so you can make better tactic set up.
The only thing i hate in GT is the lvl up is too slow, and lack a re-up(new game+) start with main bosses
I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I’ve done a lot of RTS games in the past so I knew I wouldn’t mind whatever kind of system it would be. I waited until the game would be released on the Xbox (my laptop wouldn’t be able to handle to handle the PC version), so it was tricky avoiding any spoilers but I managed to avoid most. I truly have been entertained from this game: playing against the locust, good storyline, the number of adjustments you can make and building up your own squad is just great. I’m glad I had a week off, because it was really addicting to finish the story line. I have a lot of fun playing this game. It also takes some guts to build a single player game and I haven’t seen any features like a store. I’m not much of a gamer any more like I was in the past, but I feel like this is something that nowadays is rarely done so my compliments for that. With OP5 now in Gears 5, Tactics has taken a back seat for me but I will surely play it for some extended time again in the foreseeable future.
Not that I have no criticism though: although they’re few there are some bugs, the side missions are basically all the same and quickly dull and the progression of the story doesn’t keep pace with the levelling of your squad members. Eventually you’re more or less forced to get rid of some to maintain high level teams and because the end boss fight is quite intense you need to invest time in the protagonists as well, which is a serious disadvantage for the other characters. Story wise, it also seems weird that so much time is being spend in Vasgar while you never meet anyone from Vasgar and/or the UIR. You’d think that, despite that Vasgar had fallen, there would still be some pockets of local residents around - as you see in the campaign of Gears 5.
But my judgement would be that I think TC has done a great job on this one and that I hope that they will keep on releasing games like this. Continue the main storyline with Gears 5-6-7 etc., while introduce more story and content via side-games like these. These games will never be the ‘main’ game, but they will be a valuable addition.
