I’ve just spent the weekend back on g4 and for what its worth…I actually had “fun” remember we used to have that feeling…bet your now thinking ooh sh it yeah forgot about that!
It’s kind of hard to boycott something that made most of its sales a year ago.
Maybe you could try boycotting whichever Gears of War game comes out next.

Played about 5 hours total since the tuning crapped the bed.
Dead no, but they should bin off pvp and make this a open world campaign, a proper one and a pve game.
Regardless of tuning pvp is a stale dead game and hasn’t been relevant in years. No matter what the tuning is half the people hate it and are uninstalling. Why bother.
So you rather the game die then get better so you can actually play and enjoy it:thinking: gotcha
Bit dramatic if you ask me, but everyone is entitled to their opinion. If you just give up like that how’d you expect TC to change anything in the future?

If you play anything other then PVP the game is better since the Operation 5 changes to PVE modes which is what many people play now or coop of some kind.
I gave up on PVP in almost every game now since I just do not find it fun nor do I have the time to waste for the 1 hour and 30 mins I have to game each day after work. I value and fight for my gaming time so now PVP is extremely unappealing especially when it is more frustrating and anger inducing when it goes really bad, I play to have fun not some bull crap.

I stopped playing because the game is currently unplayable in PVP , and it menages to have absurdly high ping and latency even in PVE.
I mean , it’s unplayable.
I’ve tried so many times over and over , but a single match destroys all my will to play.
I don’t get the point of playing Gears 5 at all.
I used to love Gears OF WAR , and the passion keeps me trying , but this game?
It’s just a terrible attempt.
Unenjoyable. Too much lag.
And trust me when I say I actually like the new tuning , the slower gameplay. Yes I do , I like it.
But the whole rest of the game?
Unbearable. Unplayable. Sad.
This isn’t unlike how I myself feel, hence why it would please me if TC allowed us to use our Locust/Lambent skins in PvE.
This way, I’d actually have a reason to buy said skins.
When operation 5 launched Gears 5 was fantastic to play, I was genuinely having more fun on it than I ever did on gears 4. That partnered with the new Xbox made the game feel unbelievably smooth and responsive, also looked better than ever.
Too little too late for many of course as launch will never be forgotten and the torturous months afterwards.
This new tuning has completely outdone the hard work OP5 achieved in awakening some of the fan base anyways. TC often show promise then proceed to shoot themselves in the foot.
Real mess, I do wish for gears OF WAR 6 and it’ll not doubt happen. I just hope they (or another developer) get it right and don’t rush as this gears definitely felt like it was released a good year early to me,
I wish the game felt fun to play still. Horribly boring when you dont even have to try because the most supreme play style is to bot walk. Kills don’t feel rewarding, games feel horribly slow and I have no idea what skillful gameplay they were trying to implement with this new tuning but there is no skill needed. I could hand an 8 year old the controller and he could get kills bot walking. Im also not sure why the pros seem to want this as well. Do they actually consider this tuning fun or are they just saying that because they’re getting paid? Genuinely curious.
