Little bit of topics, but why is Jinn-Bot the leader of C.O.G. in Guardian!?

I just hate her and that stupid looking Jinn-Bot and I hate that we must use Jinn-Bot on Guardian. Why TC is punishing us with that ■■■■■!?
I just finished Bloodlines this morning. Overall I really liked it, and thought it was much better than Ascendance which felt like filler. But there were a few things that really aggravated me.
The characters use Imperial measurement (miles, feet, yards) throughout the book. It was established in the Karen Traviss books (and I’m pretty sure the original game trilogy too) that the COG use the metric system (kilometers, meters, etc.). Seems weird to overlook this facet.
Also, during the Battle of Knifespire, Wyatt mentions to Gabe that “You call this a dangerous op, we call it a ■■■■■■■ Tuesday.” (pg. 239). I was really confused by this because Sera has a different set of months, and more days of the week than our universe does. Maybe there are Tuesdays, but this feels sloppy, especially when it could have been phrased more generally without a specific day of the week.
Don’t get me wrong, there was some great action scenes and character development, but details like this just really take me out of the universe.

It’s a shame that Hough and his editor(s) didn’t catch the “Tuesday” thing, or the Imperial measurements vs metric. But it’s not a big deal. Total immersion is not possible in fiction, since it’s a two-way street that requires both the creator’s effort and the fan’s effort. Little errors always slip through, and we can only sort them aside or dwell on them.
Think of it this way. We can assume that Tyran language doesn’t actually sound like our language, we just get a free translation (like how Tolkien’s characters were always speaking dead languages, but he “translated” some of them into English for his readers). But Tyran = English for us, and we don’t even blink.
But I’m still buttmad that Traviss included Jace in the flashbacks of Coalition’s End, which took place years before Jace actually became a Gear…
