BR games are over done and the majority are garbage and full of micro transactions. Gears has been struggling since GowJ dropped to find its way back to the top and honestly I don’t think a br will do anything for the series besides burry it once and for all. New devs are doing good so hopefully gow6 will be good.
Would love it.
But the community isn’t big enough.
I could picture all these maps combined.

I love BR and it’s a great PvP experience when done right. Gears BR would be terrible. Doesn’t fit at all
I’ve never understood the BR is overdone statement. Its still in it’s infancy and there’s only like 3-5 of them really. In comparison to the hundreds of team deathmatch, CTF, or king of the hill variants have been rehashed over and over. BR is going to be around for awhile thankfully
imagine a gears BR where the team grindlifts into the hollows and it’s locusts vs lambents

Just an FYI, Sera is the planet, not a city. Cities could include Jacinto. But yes there could be a BR in the hollows with gears coming down in the lifts they use in gears 2 and locusts just crawling up. Or take place in a city in a similar setting in gears 1 where you drive the centaur round whilst getting attacked by the kryll, with loads of cover and buildings to go through

I don’t think it is what Gears needs right now.
Plus I don’t think the sandbox is big enough at the moment to have a fleshed out BR mode.
The market is also very saturated, how many well populated BR’s have there been in the last 4 years? Warzone, Fortnite, PUBG, Blackout etc. etc.
I also think that TC would have made a BR by now if they wanted to. They are more than capable of doing it.

They can’t even make simple game modes work properly that were made 14 years ago back on gears 1 just imagine battle royale 
if another company took over gears or give it back to epic games then yeah it would work as long as there’s lots of cover not open then it would be sick but right now… Hell no!

Wingman Royale
Wingman is the closest we’ll get to a Battle Royale. When they came out with 14 player FFA I thought they were laying the groundwork for 14 player Wingman.
On some big maps and tweaked rules, I think Wingman could play similarly to a Battle Royale if the objective wasn’t to get a certain amount of kills (I think Wingman is usually 15 kills to win) And instead the objective would be to survive the longest. They could use the Venom from Escape to shrink the play area!
I’d thought 7 duos would be cool for a fast paced mini-royale type of experience. Start it off like classic Wingman so it’s not like you’re dropping out of a King Raven and scrambling for loot. Everybody would spawn at a different point on the map, probably all equidistant from each other and everyone fights to the last team standing.
You would start off with your regular loadout, lancer/, gnasher, smoke/flash and a snub. Idk if weapons and equipment would spawn on map. Probly but idk. No healing system added. Probly just classic health regen. I think it’d be dope

I am down with figuring out a way to do it. It would be cool to start with nothing or maybe a knife and go across huge maps to find weapons, ammo, armor [imagine finding Theron armor], crate drops like hammer of dawn lol…i could see it working.

We discussed this way back when they mentioned that a Battle Royale mode wouldn’t be out of the question.
I suggested that the “Storm” would be the darkness closing in, and Kryll would be what kills you outside the shrinking circle.
