Not many wiewers on twitch, twitter or whatever means nothing, there are a lot of people out there who play the game and don’t watch it on twitch or any other streaming, some people like me want to play the game not watch someone else playing, what’s the point, why watch someone when you can play it yourself

I mean, yes you don’t own the games but unfortunately you weren’t able to actually own many games at full price for a while now.
Prime examples being Overwatch, Rainbow Six Siege, The Division, etc. Once their servers are gone there are no means of preserving those games with your own servers despite sinking $40+ in.
Game Pass is at least straight up with the fact that you have no ownership of the games and thus they are a service as a result. Plus it’s actually consumer friendly with how many games that are already on its catalogue for the price it is…I’m having fun on Dead by Daylight and I’m saving close to 30 bucks thanks to Game Pass.
For the price of close to 3 AAA titles at launch for over 100 games per year is really not a bad deal if you think about it.

I pretty much disagree with everything you said.
But whatever… i like the new game, and can;t understand why everyone doesn’t.
It’s not Gears 3… Gears 3 is already out there and nobody is playing it.
All of the Gears games are out there, and nobody is playing them.
You think putting a little lipstick on an old game is going to make any difference at all.
I think you’re overestimating everything about how successful a remake would be.
I really hope they DO remake 2 or 3, then everyone that was pushing for it can see how bad an idea it is.

After Judgement nearly sunk the franchise, UE helped resurrect Gears and paved the road to Gears 4,which was a pretty successful and well received game. History tells us a lot about our future and a UE2 could very well serve the same purpose the original UE did.

Gears 3, 4 are the best multiplayer so far for me even with the sawd off shotgun & the retro Lancer is better than Gears 5 in every way.

Yeah… Because we’ve moved past 30fps multiplayer with a shaky camera.
Fixing those two things and giving it a fresh coat of paint would absolutely make people start playing it again.
It’s not nostalgia, they were genuinely fun games that you could play for hours on end.
My wife and I sunk thousands of hours into gears 3 and would gladly do so again with a remaster. As I would with a gears 2 remaster also.
You underestimate how popular those games were, and your reasons for why no one is playing them anymore are shaky at best.

I still miss the dark and gritty style of 1 and 2. I kind of see your point about people not wanting to move on but I do feel this comment is appearing more and more in some sort of way to excuse the coalition for things they got wrong like the aim assist,poor EU ranked servers,messed up ranking system and lack of maps/gears items. I like gears 5 but they have made a lot of mistakes and its reasonable to accept that a lot of the long term fans won’t like it. To be honest I have got bored a lot quicker of 4 and 5 than I ever did of 1 2 and 3 and that’s partly due to me getting a little older and it’s partly due to the fact that after the first 3 the question has to be asked-has gears had its time?I love the franchise and I will play 5 for a long time on and off like I have done with them all but I can’t help but feel the direction 5 is going in is the franchise leaving its roots for good and it’s a bit sad.

The game was a mess at launch but it’s gotten better. I just hope they continue improving it and the player basis doesn’t completely go away.

yea let’s remake gears 3 so everyone can complain about the sawed off and the retro and the maps and the lag. We’ve been there before.
Let’s just rewind time to 2006, all you gears 3 babies never experienced bliss, Gears 1 was the best multiplayer experience that there has ever been alongside halo 3/mw2, gears as a franchise is dead as far as I’m concerned, multiplayer on 5 just feels dead already.
Crazy how all we had in gears 1 was a few characters and simplistic maps and gameplay and you could play it for hours on end and never get bored. Games are only going to get worse.

My exact thoughts. Decided to give it another try a few days ago after a month hiatus and it wasn’t worth it. The game just doesn’t feel like Gears of War. It feels lifeless, half-■■■■■, and unsatisfying to play.

The only way the numbers are fake is if MS/TC lied. They’re a snapshot. Regardless if they’re inflated due to Game Pass, we can’t know to what extent. Agree on making improvements.
Yeah I only got my internet in towards the end of gears of war one but I had a decent run on its mp-on gears of war 2 I played over 1300 matches of pvp-good times…
If they make the relevant changes ect…that both horde n verses peeps are asking for…they might keep hold of whats left playing…dont hold your breath though.
