Gears identity crisis?

You can’t unify game types and game modes. Domination and FFA fell under the PvP (Versus) category, which didn’t play out like the Arena Shooter its predecessor did. It could also be considered a brand new game, seeing how it played out.

You’re presuming now that I’m talking nonsense while you haven’t brought one single counter claim and instead asked for proof. I don’t have access to those contracts that were signed between Microsoft & Epic Game (or anyone that represented themselves) and if I did, I would surely not be sharing sensible information that will bring up even more controversy. I’m not here to call out anyone nor am I here to give a crash course in enterprising. But if my reasoning on why those aspects of the game were missing doesn’t convey you, tell me why they were? And do this in a respectful manner, please. Treat your peers like you would treat yourself.

I never claimed that they didn’t retain any or all rights, but that they hold the majority of the shares.

I did bring counter claims. Overrun was PvP, FFA and Domination were new and all three fell under the Verses category. Everything I said WAS A COUNTER claim. You really seem like you have no clue what your talking about. Every time I bring up a counter claim you try and spin it into something else.

Also judgement was in production way before Microsoft and Epic went into discussion about seeing the Gears franchise

^The epitome of online arguments^

Like I said earlier, Overrun was a new game mode only featured in Judgment that strayed away from the classic versus rules.

Now, if you could answer the question?

^slam dunk

Because EVERY new Gears game brought new modes. Gears 2 brought horde which strayed from the classic VS rules. Gears 3 did the same with Beast. People Can Fly made FPS and Judgement plays like one. Also they could have just been experimenting with new things seeing as Judgment was a spinoff

Do you know what the definition of the word opinion is? ** a view or judgment formed about something, not necessarily based on fact or knowledge.** Do you have hard facts, or something to back this up? Can you link an article? Can you provide anything that shows what you said in the above state has any amount of actual, factual, truth?

Not presuming… You are not making sense… IE… Nonsense…

Microsoft didn’t buy a franchise, or a company or a business… The purchased “Intellectual Property” from Epic games… They purchased an idea/creation past/present and future…

How did this conversation even begin… lol…

Yes, what do you want, you '06 elitist?

Gears 1, 2, and 3 came with new additions and no deductions (with some exceptions that got rebranded or weren’t nominated to make the chart); Gears Judgment, on the other hand, removed all the game modes of previous iterations, excluding TDM and Execution (that came later on as a DLC), added brand new game modes and on top of that the Locust situation.

Now, the Gears of War franchise falls under type 2 (less identified), with the main focus based on the effectiveness of its PR (obtaining faithful fans based on trust). Epic Games wouldn’t put their own best-seller at risk by turning it to a test subject for experimenting purposes…
Something went wrong; Cliffy B. left; the game came out, and everyone was outraged. They went through damage control to reduce their losses, hence the Cash-Grab attempt.

You should strip-off your “Community Veteran” status and by your own free will, go to exile…

And shame on the two individuals that upvoted the post!!

Every Gears Campaign plays exactly like PvP

Overrun and Survival are PvP that feature locust.

Every Gears game took away modes and added new ones that strayed from the classic VS rules.

Epic sold the IP to Microsoft because it would of cost to much to make and publish without it having an amazing release which wouldnt of happened because of how poor the Xbox One sold when it first came out.

I’m done Im not gonna keep going with you because you really dont know what your talking about .

You still haven’t answered the question.

Dude Ive countered EVERY response you had. Give it up man

What is your claim?

REALLY READ my responses man because it doesnt seem like you are thats my claim

So you’re sticking to your assumption that Gears of War Judgment was a test subject to try something new?

Epic and PCF constantly said this through the development process in response to criticism from the forums and hardcore fans.
