They will learn to spam GL’s together soon that’s the next step of being absolute Beginners playing Master. 
Heads Up does make it harder to kill yourself as well, at least with grenades. I’ve seen so by people playing Pilot which is suprisingly viable on that daily with a Dropshot/Longshot weapon combo(since damage bonuses ignore Heads Up, and the stunning utility still exists, plus the fact that the Silverback just doesn’t give a damn about the modifier too).
