In the original gears 5 trailer,Marcus had his beard shaved.But in that same scene when the full game came out, he had his full beard.What was the point of having his beard shaved in the trailer and making us think he’s going to have his more old school look and then when the game’s released he still has the same look.Not saying I hate his beard, I think it looks good, but I still like how he looks with a shaved face like in the older gears games.

The other question that I would like to ask everyone is what we think about first-person POV in gears.Not as the main POV but as something that can be switched on and off for PvE(wouldn’t work well with PvP or maybe it would but idk).I just brought this up cuz I saw a video about it and my friend also sent me one that both happened in the campaign in that one terminal section in Act 2.I personally have always wondered how it would be like to chainsaw up close right in the camera view or gib someone with the Gnasher.Just want to hear people’s thoughts.

And lastly,I’ve been hearing a lot about this freedom lancer but have no idea what it is,probably cuz I don’t pay attention to news but can someone explain since I couldn’t really find anything on it(or maybe I’m just an idiot and have heard about but I have no clue,anyway someone please tell me about this freedom lancer).

(Edit):is it the lancer GL or is it an actual new gun?If it’s the lancer GL feel free to call me an idiot.

This was due to an overwhelming response from the fans saying they hated him not having the beard.

The Freedom Lancer is a new version of the Lancer equipped with liberation missiles :slight_smile: Its a fan made name for the GL.

My main issue of the unbearded Marcus from the first trailer is that it looked like a botched shave job. Like he gave up halfway through. And his older self who isn’t squinting all the time, the beard looks better.

Well than when will TC add in new Marcus skins?E-Day,V-Day,Old Man Marcus,Vintage Marcus?I mean I like my gilded Marcus but at the same time I love that gears 3 Marcus as well.Oh and that other one,Biker Marcus.Theres also unarmored Marcus and I also had this one idea called Inmate Marcus which is the one in gears UE when Dom frees you and Marcus only has a tank top,pants,boots.and his cap.Any thoughts on it?And yes I know you can’t actually see Marcus in the beginning as he is in the shadows but you can still make out his clothes.

When will you learn?We are talking about THE COALITION!!!They only care for cosmetics and their damn pride stuff(No insults to the homosexuals out there,it’s just that there are so god damn many pride cosmetics in the game like can they please work on other things then cosmetics!!!).We will never go up in the Gears of War franchise,that game ended a loooong time ago I’m sad to say.

The Coalition doesn’t only care about cosmetics & pride stuff, they care about the community and they do give effort. They’re a small team of developers compared to Epic when they had GoW. They don’t always deliver and almost always miss the mark. If you keep thinking GoW is dead, then it will be dead in your eyes forever.

Now that I think about it…I can’t really judge the game as of right now since so much has happened in the company,well than I guess I’ll have to wait at least till operation 5 and see if any big changes have happened.

I skipped all the trailers because I heard they weren’t as emotional as the ones we talk about. Watching them now. They’re not bad. But the older ones had better music.

I think it’s mainly that the newer ones have emotion to them, it’s just far more interpretive.

Although I don’t know how Kait smashing through a statue of Myrrah while “The Chain” is in the background kind of went unoticed for all the people that thought Kait would turn evil.

I like “Tomorrow” and the Escape one, probably two of my favorite cinematic trailers in Gears’ history, beside Rendezvous and Dust to Dust.

But yet, budget does not equal talent or creativity. The first Saw movie was made for $500.

I think there was one. It wasn’t like ratings, but just favorite trailers. Not sure if myself or Nineteenth put up the thread but I believe it was one of us regulars.

Eh not really, Unarmored Marcus has some stuff on him like on the arms and legs.Slab Marcus literally may had pants, boots, a tank top and thats it. I think in gears of war 1 he had no tank top but that only what I could make out from the little lighting that was there.
