Gears 4 didnt have any spree ribbon yet it had a ribbon called killjoy wich was given when you killed a player who have killed 5+ enemies . No sense at all.
This new gears looks like is gonna be the same. Every shooter game have those kinda medals. i know Is just a stupid ribbon but for me it really feels like something is missing when you are on a spree and don’t get any reward for it.
Buying guns is fine but can we start with a Gnasher in our bag
Auto aim needs to go. Or am I imagining things? Head shot damage with the lancer is waaaaaaaay overpowered. Honestly think the whole headshot damage being overpowered will run this game into the ground!!! Remember this game was built on the gnasher! Dont ruin that! If you don’t make some serious changes this game will become judgment number 2 and I’m sure you dont want that! Been playing gears since gears one. Oh how I miss gears 2 :(((((((( oh and this feedback is for quick play mode. About to try ranked and will give feedback on that!
So overall I’m having a blast with the gears 5. I’ve just been playing Koth nonstop. I’ve got tons of feedback but I’ll get to my point. I’ve seen a ton of people complaining about the tech test and how it’s just Judgment2.0. I believe this is because ranked wasn’t working yesterday so all most people played was Arcade and I dont think they knew that it was just a new mode. Arcade is great for new players but you gotta see how a gears vets can jump in and not feel like its gears. So my suggestion is to add TDM to the tech test next week in the social playlist alongside arcade. I personally think you should of waited till release to show arcade, I think its confusing a lot of people for some reason. I’m never gonna get into it but I’m happy it’s in the game for the newer people that dont stick to gears because they’re sick of getting blasted by gnasher vets. Hopefully it’s a way for new people to actually learn and get into gears. TDM in the tech test will give people a taste of true gears 5 multiplayer in a social lobby. Great job TC, cant wait for more gears 5

Hit detection is a ■■■■■■■ joke good luck pushing anyone in this game with how easy it is to 1 sht kill. Headshots for days. Agressive paly is gone its just sitting back and waiting for your 1 shot kill.
I rush constantly with gnasher only and do just fine. More than 5 matches with 50+ kills. I’m loving it. Sorry you’re not enjoying, hope it gets better for you. I see a lot of people complaining about how strong the Lancers are but to me its weaker than 4. Without the hard stopping power, I’m able to rush/strafe lancers just fine. I wouldn’t mind a nerf, but I really dont think it’s as bad as 4
I would really like for the opacity of the new inverse omen to be thinner and more see through. I dont need 70% of my screen to tell me I’m taking damage. I’ve tried to adjust, but it really does throw me off in fights. Hell, I’d rather turn it off at this point and not no my health. I’m not saying revert to the old omen, but I could definitely see better with that one. Hopefully some good adjustments are made. Other than that thanks tc, loving the gameplay so far
The opposite happens for me lol. On several occasions my character just takes off roadie running without me holding X, it only occurs for 3 or 4 seconds but it’s gotten me killed a couple times. I think it’s only after mantleing. 2 of my buddies have experienced it as well. We all play on classic alt
Bless you lad. Finally someone who understands that Gears is a cover-based shooter. I love the weapon tuning so far. Wouldn’t change a thing gameplay-wise, very excited for the full release.
As for having to press a button to respawn in escalation, it’s so you can choose to spend a life or not. If there’s 5 seconds left in the match, why respawn and waste a life. They’re throwing in an added strategy of when to respawn and manage lives. Might take a while for you to get used to, but it is necessary for escalation.

The movement is just too slow! I honestly think sticking to GOW4 movement scheme is favorable considering most fans spent the last 3 years getting used to the movement. It doesn’t make sense to go back to the previous GOW 2 movement.

The Gnasher!!! SIX BULLETS is NOT ENOUGH! Please consider making the magazine clip available to hold 8 bullets just like in GOW4. If you must decrease the clip, decrease it from 8 to 7 . I’ve encountered plentiful moments where I’ve died during 1v1 battles simply because I needed an extra bullet.
4.THE LANCER!!! ITS SIMPLY TOOOOO OVERPOWERED. I CANNOT BE ANY CLEAR ENOUGH. The state of the lancer in GOW 5 just makes 1v1 battles impossible. The slow movement when trying to wall bounce allows for players to just sit still and spray and pray only to down you in less than a lancer clip. It COMPLETELY RUINS the competition when it comes down to who is a better player.
- PLEASE Revert back to the original GOW Omen. I understand TC is trying to introduce something new to their game, but it just doesn’t feel like Gears. The redness “blood” from the Omen coming outward-in makes it hard corner spot incoming enemies. It can cost you a life when in need to come back in the game
Just got done playing Gears 5 with 5 hours put in on all modes. I’ll start off with Escalation. Being thrown from Gears 4 to Gears 5 is a HUGE change. Not in hit detection or new maps, but timing odly feels… slower in 5. 4 is all about trying to run up to your opponent and blast their brains with the nasher. Also, I’ve had quite a few battles in 4 of wall bouncing and 1v1 where it comes down basic skill. In 5, I feel like the servers and leg is holding back from that. I cant wall bounce like I could in 4, and something about the weapons feels off that I cant quite put my finger on. Similar statement can be said for KOTH and I didnt really notice the aim assist but things still didnt feel quite right. I would say it’s like practicing for a 5k race in a pair of shoes you’ve been training in for months, and right before the race, you have to wear a pair of new shoes that arnt broken in and you dont know how it will operate. The game has the Gears DNA, it’s there despite people bashing it, it’s just off.
Now, the arcade mode I had an absolute blast in. I cant understand the hate generating around it as it feels fresh, feels like gears, and just a new mode I could really enjoy. Especially if you add different classes and maybe certain weapons that only pertain to that mode, could definitely see it being a favorite of mine. The only criticism I have on Arcade mode is to get rid of the kill cams and lower the respawn times. You could probably eliminate respawn time altogether if you increased the kill count to say…65?..75 even? But as a gears fan, a die hard one at that, I really look forward to the campaign and horde. Being a fan since 06, theres nothing better then getting a couple friends together, setting up the Boom Shield, and praying you make it to wave 50 lol. #embracechange

Im asking if you played KOTH or escalation in the tech test??? What your talking about is a causal mode meant for new people and the causal player. Theres no head shots with automatic rifles in ranked. Escalation in 4 was ok but the new one is trash. Also and I hate to say this but the map escalation is trash now with re spawn game modes. It was 1 of my favorites in Gears 1. KOTH is a better version of annex.

inverse red omen is bad … so bad
Alright after finally getting away from Arcade and being able get into some competitive on the tech test, I have to say that the movement just feels off. I know that the amount of time it takes to come out of a roadie run and shoot the Gnasher is considerably longer than it was before. In fact, all aspects of movement feel slower than previous iterations. Melee has been changed for no legitimate reason and chainsaw has been remapped after five another installments. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. I can’t help but to think we have a 343 situation on our hands…
I have some major grievances with Gears 5 so far.
The bots are about as intelligence as a toaster; running into walls, avoiding enemies and gunfights, making ghosts when they die running into an object, their kills are atrocious and they feed the enemy the win.
The new pistol is a horrific experience! It kicks like a mule on steroids! It really isn’t worth using.
By having character variants , which by the way gun variants ruined COD if you didnt know it, makes it so there is no variety. We should just be able to pick our starter weapons so everyone stops using the same character.
It is 2019, man, why am I waiting hours a day just to have a match that may crash or be filled with mongoloid bots?
You say 60hz servers, where are they? The lag is so real I can taste it. The ping is so unhelpful, it just makes it known who these goobers are playing on wifi in their parents basement . No one wants to sit here for 5 minutes between matches to play a mode we dont really enjoy.
Arcade is just a COD or Fortnite player pull. If we wanted to play Fortnite or COD, we would play Fortnite orCOD.
Aim assist. That is all I should really have to say. It is mind boggling to see someone hit me in the ankle and get a head shot, when I fill their face with lead and get nowhere.
SPAWNS. Did you hire people from Activision to design your spawns? I keep spawning beside the enemy, or worse yet, right in front of them in the open!
The matches, besides taking a year, are obscenely lopsided. I’ll admit, I am not a pro, but I shouldn’t be put with the aforementioned basement dwellers against a whole team of Terminators. Not just once or twice a day. No. It is over and over and over.
Is this a Gears coup? It seems you are trying to push us true fans, whales, and supporters away because your greedy side seen COD and Fortnite profits and creamed itself. Besides, the Fortnite players are mostly under 12 years old, This game will make them need their cry closets and safe spaces. Be careful who you try to push to. These snowflakes are delicate, remember? Use your conscious man, it’s like selling candy flavored cigarettes to entice young people. It doesn’t matter what it tastes like, it will harm you. That just makes you morally bankrupt. Therefore it is the wrong thing to do. Some people can handle the extreme, but others have a more sensitive disposition. Being drawn in and corrupted is atrocious. Dont change the games for them, we dont want to play with “squeekers” anyhow. We enjoy the adult fighting.
I have a strong feeling you are going to put battle royal in as well just to keep up with the hype. Sorry to say, you are the last to join them on the party boat. Who needs battle royal when there are a million to play already? Honestly now. Too many modes means not enough people to play the modes the want to. Simplicity is key. Quantity over quality is a bad business decision.
Otherwise the game looks neat.
It’s really bad. The maps suck, Lancer has 30 rounds which is the amount of rounds the Retro Lancer should have instead of the traditional 60 rounds since Gears 1 and good god the recoil is atrocious all around. The Lancer kicks like the Retro Lancer, the Hammerburst kicks all around eliminating it’s role as a long range rifle and good god the Retro Lancer kicks all over the place like you’re firing it from the hip it’s that bad. I also really hate they put the chainsaw/Retro charge to RB, nobody wanted it and it’s not necessary. 
Some ranking system feedback, though I don’t know how far along it is in this build of the game. Transparency, transparency, transparency. I can’t stress it enough. I like seeing the skill points, I like seeing player names in my division, I like all that stuff. But there’s still no explanation of why I move up or down.
I just played a KOTH 3v5 (our team down two players) was the #2 scoring player in the match, and moved from 19% to 60% in my division. And look, if losing the match is intended to affect it that much or if I was still expected to be #1 despite the odds, that’s fine, but that’s not shown to me. I really want more explanation of what exactly caused me to move up or down, because just seeing the skill points alone is a bit abstract. For example, the screen could mention that we were at a disadvantage and so we were given “X” amount of points handicap based on the skill of the players that left. I can’t be much more specific with what I want because I don’t know the inner workings of the system, but that’s what I’ve got so far.
