I see a lot of wrap around shots. Bullets wrapping around corners in strange ways. Back up A is gibbing people around corners now more than ever. I’ve been back up Aed more in this game than any other gears game. I think it’s just because the game feels a lot stiffer. I’m enjoying the new movement though to be honest.

Not only back up A though. On a certain instance when an enemy was behind waist high cover( I was on the opposite side of his cover) and I gibbed a dude one shot with a hip fire. I was maybe 2 steps away from cover standing up. Very strange. It’s as if the whole gnasher shot was able to hit him somehow while he was in cover. Anyone else experiencing something like this?

Unrelated almost but the gnasher is a bit too powerful.

Yup. There’s input delay on the xbox version it seems.

Yes, but I you desactivate on the option, no one kill cam is possible. If you keep activate : kill cam all the time… The best will be in the middle, just the possibility to claim it with X button. In this case, we would see the kill came only when it’s necessary.

Good Afternoon, i will mark the points of what i think can be improve in GOW 5.
PS: I am not good in english i hope is not a torture to read, sorry beforehand.

1.- The speed of shooting any weapon when running, jumping or taking cover have a little LAG like a second or a half second so is annoying in fast duels.
2.- When you aim from the cover to shoot, weapon’s sight does not point to the center of the screen.
3.- Aiming a weapon doesn’t feel smooth, it feels like you are aiming a Troika Heavy Machine Gun, the reaction in the movement is slow and heavy.
4.- When you throw a blind granade from a cover, the throwing force is to low.

I do not think that PC and XBox should be crossed platformed.  The power of a PC and the lack of controller for the PC makes them over powered (OP).

At end screen gloat for MVP, also show the person with the highest K/D.
Do not show the "highlight"weapon of that the enemy bought in hand. It gives the game more suspense.
Head shots are WAY to easy. You should not be getting exploding heads with the lancer. This is not HALO where the head pixels have always been to large.
Remove the Lancer GL “saftey” from the gun. I only been able to use it twice, but was not able to use the GL almost point blank. I would rather die with the enemy then let him kill me and take my gun.
I am a chainsaw fan. There is not enough “hidden” corners in the maps.
The Breaker Mace should not down an undamaged enemy behind the hammer bearer.
The Mace also has an excessive range.
Classic Gears, the gnasher is OP. Nerf the gnasher a little. I play Arcade to avoid the gnasher yet anytime I am near it it will win with it’s “imaginary explosive slug rounds”
Some of the damage feels different in-between game types. Is it?
The regular lancer needs a small boost to stopping power.
The purchasing in Arcade needs to have more customization.
----Maybe purchase a weapon once for a set tier price, next time you purchase that same weapon that game it cost twice as much.

Please fix the crawling during DBNO. The movement isn’t right…

Please add traditional Gears 4 controls, I dont see why I have to press RB for the chain saw…

I just got killed by a guy that was invisible, mowed down two people in front of me as if shooting through the walls. My death screen showed him right in front of us. ?!?

I can deal with most changes in the game but taking the Gnasher down to 6 rounds and the giant omen on screen when you get hit are probably the biggest problems for me if nothing gets changed but the omen I can grit my teeth through the game movement seems slower than gears 4 running and turning is way better but wall bouncing seems real slow

Not a fan of weapon purchasing during the match, weapon pickups allow the players to fight over a certain area and guarantees firefights

Please give us a full load out. A shotgun is standard. Why take that away?! A full loadout or at least a shotgun, rifle. To start. So we are prepared. Just a rifle & pistol isn’t right. It’s not gears.

Its arcade. Its supposed to be different

MM was pretty decent when the beta restarted, now, not so good.

What has remained consistent is the overall poor quality gameplay and ungears feel.

Omen, weapon handling, movement, reticule, ammo reserves.

The maps are woeful too, just identikit generic garbage, a far cry from the dozens of classics the series is known for. Hopefully this is purely for spoiler purposes, but I doubt it.

Hi Gears, first time posting to the forums here.

I just wanted to chime in to say that I really enjoy the arcade deathmatch. I haven’t seen this addressed anywhere yet, but my only gripe is that characters are tied to classes.

One of my favorite things about online play in Gears is the large pool of characters and character skins. That, and the resulting variety of voice lines on good kills. To throw all of that out of the window in favor of five forced characters per team for what seems to be the most casual game type seems kind of silly to me. Especially if it’s already going to be the case for Escape and it’s 3 new hive-buster characters.

Plus, I always play as a Carmine :slight_smile:

I understand the simplicity of the design choice, because I can understand that my head is about to explode whenever I see a Fahz across the map. But with the pacing of the Arcade Deathmatch mode, there really doesn’t seem to be a lot of instances where one can actively capitalize on knowing an enemies team composition. It feels like the game mode is more about working with what you have, rather than counteracting whatever they’ve got.

I think Arcade (and even perhaps Escape, but let’s wait and see) would be more enjoyable if it were set up similarly to Horde in Gears 4 where you can choose your class in the pre-game (or in between respawns in Arcade’s case) regardless of the active character skin.

Playing the matches in gears 5 tech test players are still persistent on unnaturally jumping walls faster than an average player which had been one of the main problems from gears 4 as well as the swarm characters sound muffled when they speak they don’t sound as superior or clear on what they are saying like in gears 4. Something about gears 5 has this uncomfortable vibe when you play the characters when they run feels unnatural not as comfortable as in gears 4. The new adjustments to the controls where we now knife when you press B instead of chainsaw is quite confusing to the natural way of playing i think if you had wanted to add a new control to the game i suggest the option to knife should be the stick of the controller so that way it won’t bother the other controls players are so used to using in the previous games I also respect the new updates you seemed to have produce in the game although I do prefer more clarification for better understanding of how everything is particularly supposed to be really used it can be quite confusing. Now the way the characters die or get down when the red gears symbol appears in the middle of the screen is very uncomfortable to the eye personally I don’t think that should have been upgraded in anyway I think it should have stayed to the old feel of the game in gears 4 where nothing was in the way. Not to forget the mention the leader of the swarm does not sound or give that feeling of the locust sounds more human and for the cog really then for the swarm I think the leader of the swarm should have more ravenous nature to what the swarm are really surrounded with then with just a simple human leader in my opinion it does not sound natural Like spoken in gears 3 when myyrah speaks to the swarm. Above all really I think it’s really cool how your bringing back all the previous gears games features into one game although I think it should be more thought out when being portrayed into gears 5 because some of the changes you may be improving may never have needed it and should stay the same while other features that were unstable should be fixed. But always keeping the the feeling of what really makes gears a war great.

If so then give me a standard game type so I can never play arcade again.
