Seems like thats still an issue.

Can’t tell you how many times I’ve gotten the 1st shot and the opponent gets to rip off 2 consecutive …I have a5ms- 25ms yet they’ll have a 45ms and manage to benefit and get their 3rd round off before my 2nd. Don’t give me any bs about being quicker because it’s happened in every game and test days so far. It doesn’t happen in gow4. I honestly went from preordering the Col.Ed. to not preordering jack . I see I’m not the only 1 upset with the feel of it.

AI bots aren’t worth having coded the very easy difficulty.

Played a few games, All of them played fantastically! Currently on my Xbox One, Wired connection, 2 Devices on my network with 573mps download, 52mps upload 0% packet loss with a latency of 14ms. When playing my most recent game the game was flipped on its head, There were two pc players on both teams making it somewhat even, though I would much rather see the ratio between Keyboard and mouse users vs controller users rather than Pc/console. Moving on- The game did not hold up, I the kill cams were portraying me dying with almost a full second of activity “King crimsoned” away. Felt awful though i did have Crossplay enabled (I would assume it reset with the patch enabling it) so that may have been the reason for such a bad game but aside from that, It’s playing great!

The bots are useless. They dont even shoot.

Tech Test Nr.2:

  • Omen still very irritating (receiving 2 shots and I think im almost dead. Please include a option for the old Omen. I beg you)
  • Cover system still buggy (falsly jumping to opposit directions and randomly jumping over covers)
  • Chainsaw please on B (I see a lot of players punching instead or cheinsawing)
  • Stats please on holding BACK and map on BACK + B. there are some issues when pushing it one after being killed and when it switches the screen perspective.
  • Please make Teammates less of a berricade. Often times I get pushed around and that ruins my move when sliding to covers. Got killed so many times because teammates where so extremely pushie. Also on the hill when many teammates are around you hit nothing but the teammate. so the damage output is like 0)
  • Kick back of the lancer is at the beginning very strong
  • Sniper/Ember shots weirdly do not hit sometimes
  • Lacer of the granade launcher still need to be fixed (Make the laser in the color of the team. make it transparent when not ready and make it full color when ready. dont give the swarm a blue laser!)
  • Gnasher damage output sometimes inconsistend
  • Match Making might need some fixes. I just lost 14 games in a row
  • Please include the option for oldschool crosshairs (the current sniper crosshair makes it really hard to do headshots)
  • Jinn’s voice in the german version is still way too high
  • The gap between the speedincrease of the camera between 6-10 is not noticable but between 5-6 is a huge gap
  • When shot down you seem to be stuck in place for 2-3 seconds before you can move at all
  • I dont know why but ppl are stealing kills like crazy. I almost made no kills because ppl are stealing so excessive. Never ever saw so many kill thefts in a Gears game. (I know in combination with the lost matches it sounds like im a bad player. but im usually very good in gears of war)
  • Apparently there are weapons below the MP map when pressing LB (below the Tower)
  • Why having a big “Vote for next Map” all across the maps? When having a big selection of maps in the retail version that makes it hard to see what map is beneath the huge letters.

Update: Tried Rank for the first time on Tech Test and same joke as Gears 4. Shotgun registering at 85% or after seeing the blood splatter off an opponent getting 0% damage. The movement is terrible gears 4 movement is much smoother. The movement in Gears 5 feels very boxy and slow. Shotgun also delays when the trigger is pulled if it goes off. This is a new one that I have never posted about or the community has came up with, MVP yes you guessed it the highest ping player. TC you thought gears 4 had a quick drop off keep doing what your doing with Gears 5 and it will be double time the rate. @the-coalition.

This game has almost zero enjoyment value. It’s so riddled with issues rn.For me its unplayable. We should be having fun, not constantlyasking wtf…

The following game played the same, Very awful

Played the tech test again for a couple of hours, Actually got tired of playing it which never normally happens playing GOW4, Think its because of the poor visual decisions and the pointless changes to the score board/map. Why the #### does the map keep coming up? Who needs to look at the map so often. Its not like you can get lost. The score board is hard to read, the font is too small, why take up such a small area of the screen, doesn’t make any sense. The kill feed - which genius thought red text on a red background was a good idea, half the time you cant read who you just killed because of the red flare from the death omen. SMH. Don’t you guys sit around in rooms and talk abut this stuff!! The omen is too much. Constant flaring just makes looking at the game a chore.

KOTH is very laggy/inconsistent at the moment. Sometimes shots are just not landing, sometimes I’ll kill someone through a wall…

Things feel better this week than last, although I still feel the movement needs some tweaking, and the walls feel too sticky at times. The two combined make for some unexpected results.

The inverse omen is still the absolute worst thing in the game, especially when everyone is tossing flashbangs around, visibility goes quickly to zero.

Still learning the ins and outs of the maps, but no major complaints so far. District reminds me of gondola in places on the centerline…let’s not make too many reminders of Judgment.

FOR EVERYONE THAT DOES NOT LIKE THE CURRENT GAMEPLAY
I highly recommend to change these settings:

  • Aim Acceleration (5 feels incredibly good but is very slow. 6 is sometimes way too fast and it feels very smooth… almost too smooth. I prefer the clunkyness of a real gears of war game)
  • Inner Deadzone (I set it to 6)
  • Outer Deadzones (I set it to 4)

With these settings I actually had fun with Gears 5. I had a terrible time using the default settings and i wish there would be a step between 5 and 6 of the Aim Acceleration so it feels clunky but also fast.

I really dislike the kill cam ! It’s very boring…
Kill cam would be a choice. When you are killed, X bouton could be an option only if you want to see it. We could have the choice to claim the kill cam. Because here, it’s automatic, imposed and irritating… The most of time, we know how we have been killed. Not a good idea to see kill cam all the time. Again and again…

You can turn the kill cam off in the options.

The Running animation is not the same as the first tech test Why change that?!?!?!
In the first tech test your character run more like a human being less crouched… personally I hate the crouching running animation
I know is a little detail but the game felt more real and a little less arcadish

Chainsaw and Reload can’t be the same button. Half the time it won’t do either one because it’s not sure what I’m wanting to do.

What button should i push then if im not sure what i want to do?

Anyone else feel like the cover system is really sticky and there is a delay when pressing ‘A’ in certain situations for example when coming out of a roll and you spam A to get into cover but your character just stays still?
