Issue - Can’t even install the game. Keeps saying “Try again later. Something happened on our end.” I’ve tried other games on the MS store and they download and run fine so I’m pretty sure it’s a dev related issue.
Already reset everything related to the Store and have tried multiple things regarding CMD and Powershell.
On four separate occasions I have re-spawned but have been frozen to the spot and could not undertake any player actions until an enemy finally kills me - the next re-spawn will be back to normal.
The ‘frozen spawn’ leaves the weapon selection UI open (not that I was pressing this whilst dead), but you cannot select a weapon no matter which d-pad button you press, so the UI never goes away and you remain ‘frozen’, unable to partcipate in any activity such as moving or firing.
A further bit of information is that I’m frequently pressing/holding the back button to find out match info whilst waiting for the next spawn, which may/may not be relevant.
This has only happened to me during KOTH.

ADS/Left Trigger aiming: Occasionally there’s a massive delay that won’t allow you to actually aim the weapon in any direction at all for several milliseconds. Happened in Gears 4 too but much more frequent here.
Kill Cam: Reinforces that everyone doesn’t see the game world equally and that the game essentially picks and chooses who’s version is the authority, may wan’t to consider taking it out or explaining what determines what as players will enrage when on their screen the gnasher barrel is stuffed in the opponent but the kill cam shows the opponent was actually several feet away.
General sever/connectivity issues: It seems unstable connections still effect my inputs for whatever reason, lobbies still dissolve frequently, players still micro stutter, PC still locks up etc… None of these issues are new here and this tech test doesn’t give me any hope that any of them have been resolved.
Post match screen: Really annoying loud audio plays briefly, sounds like static/interference. This is the same sound that was orginally present in gears 4 when your PC lockedup.
On the PC side the issues i have been having are listed below:
- The net code is horrible! I was shot around the corner continuously without even see the person or gun at all! Thats bad! I could literally see the bullets going threw the corner of the wall.
2 .Match making is slow as leap yr! - Error cod GW502 : The video card has stopped working? Screen shot of this will be attached. Game freezes with this issue.
4.If i come across something else i will let u know. As it stands this is the most aggro!

So I’m on an Xbox one x and have gotten into one match yesterday and the game finished and then it kicked me out into a que to wait so I waited and waited and finally can get into the main menu but now it will search for 1 min then says error gears of war services are unavailable please try agin later. So I get on this morning same thing was happening. I signed into my friends account on my Xbox and it finds a match in two seconds. Is anyone else having this type of issue that’s linked to a specific Xbox account ??

make the reload as fast as gears 4 and make the active reload get smaller everytime instead of us having to wait for it to come back,…
shooting your shots while bouncing doesnt register, make anytime you press the trigger to fire your gun cancel out any bounce or any activity and fire your gun.
Hi, Run the game in Tech-Test on the new 60hz Tickrate ?
These are arcade as no way im playing the ranked mess and uneven team allotting on top of waiting ages to get a match.
Gnasher locks and does not fire when you down people at times, like gears 4 there is a delay in firing gnasher at times (not lag).
Also corner wall cover sliding into instant gnash exit shot does not register when opponents are on walls sometimes,so does not kill but leaves no damage when it should. Not only that you sometimes just stick on the wall and do not exit of it
Not sure if this ones meant to be there (hope not)but when selecting weapons in game on D-PAD the selection screen stay there until you select it again,so blocks the whole screen.
This should not be in a game in 2019 but wall clipping,also sticking onto a wall when you run past it,similar to as if you wall bounced into it but did not .very annoying an amateur dev work.
MELEE is ridiculous also,slow it down or damage less.
When searching and stopping the search the game hangs and a reset is needed,also sometimes you reset search and research but get put into a game when its still cancelling and then game loads and you get booted.
I might be wrong but the game wouldn’t launch at all on PC until I synchronized my clock. ?
The kill cam showed him shooting me and seeing me visible on his screen. The issue is on my side that i cannot see him at all and he can see me. Notice where the hammerburst shots come from in the video. Straight through a corner

Issue: After 1 or sometimes 2 rounds the game disconnects me from the internet, it either crashes the network adapter driver or change something in windows, because when look into my networks it shows my network unidentified and i only get back my internet connection after i restart my computer. Every other multiplayer game works fine even after extended hours of gametime without network related issue.
I already reinstalled my network driver, but it didn’t solve the issue.
I found an audio glitch during the bootcamp; I have recorded it and I need to know how or where to upload it to from Xbox Live?

on my logitech g502 hero i switched the keypad in the gears of war menu to allow me to select pistol by rolling mouse key down and smoke mouse key up, but it forces me to have to hold down the primary or secondary key before being able to roll my mouse wheel to select the weapons ? is that intentional? i like it because it saves me from accidentally pressing my mouse wheel and selcting a random weapon, but can you add an option to turn it on or off if we choose to?
(1.) Remove aim assist off of the sniper rifle please, It wasn’t in all the gears game, It definitely don’t need to be in this one. Stop making your game appease the casual base players because at the end of the day, they will not be playing your game in the end. It will be the hardcore players that stuck with your game since day one.

(2.) Gears of war 5 Tech test crashes on Pc. I don’t understand how this problem isn’t fix yet. It was never fixed in Gears of war 4 at all!!! people actually have to use different drivers to play the game. Their’s games that uses unreal engine 4 like Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, Paragon, Fortnite, and Sea of thieves that doesn’t crash at all and completely crashes the pc. This has to be fixed before launch. No excuses this time around. do another beta to see if the problem is fixed, this company can’t take a risk saying its fixed then when the game launches, it crashes and people are complaining.
Other then that, the game is good but Prioritize fixing Nividia cards.

(3.) Bring back Tournament Alternative Controls. You have, Classic, Classic ALT, Tournament and don’t have Tournament ALT??? Bring that back please
(4.) Make Quick Matches have playlist like in Gears of war 3. It doesn’t make sense for a person that doesn’t have a group to play rank period when you have people coming with teams winning all the time. A person that is a lone wolves should have the option in Quick matches to choose whatever game mode he wants like in Gears of war 3. If I have a team I go play rank not Social. Social are basically lone wolves that doesn’t have a team. Make quick playlist have game modes where people can choose and not just join. Don’t fix something that isn’t broken (In certain situations)
(5.) Showing people KD and Win ratio is important in rank and Casual. I should be able to click on their name like Gears of war 3 so it can show, his or her stats. Also bring back Recent player list so, after the game we can pull up her or his stats sheet or send them a invite.
I keep getting an error at the end of the match. Match failed to record. KOTH ranked. When this happens its not updating my Rank.
