Any plan on fixing certain GOW4 bugs/issues that carried over so far? Like these 2:
-
Frag planting on the floor whiffs constantly, though you’re seemingly aiming straight down, and at the same spot as when it finally does plant.
-
Waiting to respawn, you’ll see your character or teammates idle at spawn, though you’re all actually waiting to respawn. It’s very annoying, always being fooled into thinking my teammates have gone idle, when really it seems you’re just prespawning their characters. If it’s to avoid hickups, atleast make them invisible until they actually respawn.

(Gears 5 Tech Test specific issue) When you hit the “Menu” button in a Social lobby, it just shows the main menu. In GOW4 it would show you the avatars/gamertags of all players in the lobby also. This was useful in GOW4 if you entered what looked like a scarcely populated lobby going by who was in-game on the scoreboard, and wanted to see if others were in the lobby waiting to spawn in. In Gears 5 Tech Test, you just have to guess, so just hoping this doesn’t carry over to full release, otherwise it seems like another downgrade in accessibility.

(Gears 5 Tech Test specific issue) Weapon and Mark customization is separate from other customizations that are all found under each character’s customization. So, when you pick a new Mark or a Weapon skin, they are equipped universally for every character you choose, and every faction, (COG/Swarm).
So, just hoping it doesn’t carry over to the game in this manner, otherwise it’d be a full downgrade from GOW4, where you set COG/Swarm/Horde character/weapon skins separately. You could just place Weapon and Mark customizations within the current character customization setup, that’d fix it.
Though it’d be nice to go the extra mile and also add custom slots where we set everything so we can have different customizations for the same character types. On the old forums I was asking for and hoping this could have been added in GOW4. Just click “Add custom slot”, set character skin, banner, expressions, weapons/executions/bloodsprays, mark, then save a name for the custom slot.
