It was taken out because not a lot of people were playing it, and there are already a large amount of playlists in PvP alone.

By your point, every playlist should have a ranked mode. Dodgeball, Guardian, FFA, Warzone. Because people care about those modes as well. By the time TC have finished, we have over 100 playlists and no one playing them. And with the population being small already, more playlists isn’t gonna help.

You can still play Execution in Custom match lobbies, with your own rules and such (which I personally think is better than ranked Execution if I’m honest).

Gears 5 didnt launch with Execution. The Execution players cried and it was added in. No one played it apparently so the took it out again.

Now Guardian on the other hand was still a popular mode that should not have been removed

Execution player base is so small, I got to really know a lot of people/teams playing lol.

I’d obviously love for it to come back but I feel like it’ll be whatever so long as Gridiron is added to rank with competitive settings (maybe Execution rules. too)

I think it could’ve at least stayed until they added Gridiron to ranked.

Guardian, period. Execution was a dead mode, I couldn’t find a single match.

How can they say no one played. I could find a match every night in 10 seconds. And play till 3:00am. It was getting played.

The mode was least played in 4, wasn’t even released on 5, and has since become the least played mode again.

There are custom lobbies. If you have friends that like it so much, make a custom lobby and play it there.

I prefer a consolidation of playlists, especially in ranked, to keep waiting times and matchmaking healthy.

Also, Gridiron has similar elements to both Execution and Guardian. I believe the mode super fun and will probably just play that mode when it comes to rank. (My main PvP mode was guardian)

Yeah. Well me and my friends will trie out the gridiron. I guess we ain’t got any other choice. Not sure why it has to go. Even if it’s a ghost town I got plenty of stats I’ve built up on ranked ex. For nothing :frowning:

Very few people played it.
I’d say put Execution rules to Gridiron to make capping the flag more enticing.

that’s the beauty of not having population numbers like we did in Gears 3. the players can’t go and point to a metric to prove it’s being played.

I have a feeling the majority of players who post their time played will have a similar order of Guardian being above Escalation.

lol, I would have KOTH taking up about 98% with TDM the other 2%…

That’s before I stopped playing ranked, several weeks ago…

Not a single Guardian, not a single Execution, not a single escalation, not a single 2v2…

Who ever wrote this should just stop. Im sorry but saying that “the concept of totally eliminating a mode almost EXCLUSIVELY played by your MOST PASSIONATE players is slap to the face” is a slap in the face to any true Gears fan. Just because you dont play execution doesnt mean you are less passionate than those that do,

Ive been play Gears since 06 and I HATE execution. Execution players can blame Epic for digging the grave for execution with the introduction of TDM in Gears 3.

Not enough people played in 4 and not enough people played in 5. TC gave you guys the chance to populate that mode when they reintroduced it in 5 and it was still not a popular game mode.

Well, the government states we should have a 9 shopping cart distance to avoid those sneezing and 2 shopping carts to avoid talking germs. You have to reach out and describe it in the best way possible to the dumbest people. :smiley:
