I don’t mind 2v2. But I don’t want FFA in ranked.

I like 2v2 i’m just saying it’s a bit shallow to be a ranked mode, maybe a permanent event would suit it better.
Also all the different modes we have right now scattered all over the place just feels messy and unorganised.
agreed. it was cool the first few games but gets boring quick assuming your teammate doesn’t leave…
who even wants FFA Ranked? what would that really accomplish besides players whining about point totals at the end of a round?
TC said they plan to make FFA ranked
I know and I’m asking what the point is. if TC ends up removing the Ranked version due to low population numbers it will be a giant waste of time and resources. the mode is already hemorrhaging players.
FFA? Last I played there were too many players. Impossible to get a streak when people are spawning around you constantly.
And I meant to say TC’s gonna do what TC’s gonna do regardless of there being a point or not

That’s a general thing though. Any featured playlist gets the most play because it is in your face. I would prefer 6 players max in FFA but every game I played in Operation 2 with one or two exceptions was full.
They did make matches start with 7 for EU so you may be right there.
To be fair I only stopped playing FFA as much cause I’m ready for it to actually matter in Ranked
imagine a 6 player FFA. we could play the mode on every map in the game…
Id be fine with that too, I never cared about the number of people anyways, just the idea of not being strapped with trash teammates or facing a stacked squad of crossing lancers
Plus playing on normal maps would be cool, but likely a pipedream

I joined Gears in 4… I have gone back and played all the campaigns, but MP wise I started with 4, always been. Playstation guy, buddy of mine got me hooked on Gears to end up buying an XB lol
But anways, other than a couple games of TDM with my buddy back during 4 when 4 was having server issues 1 day, we hoped on 3 for a couple games (that said I did like Sandbar) other than that ive only played 4 and 5 MP wise
Mercenary just means multiplayer games without teamed up players. You go in and get put into a team of randoms but the other team is also randoms who are not stacked.

My biggest issue with 2v2 is that it revolved around the inconsistencies of the game, aka the Gnasher, and that can create issues. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve played that mode and wished I had a rifle to combat the high ping fluctuation players that seem to eat every shot but one shot me from what appears to be a distance larger than 9 shopping carts.
With nothing to really back on without waiting for a Snub, you’re in a bad place sometimes. I tried it again yesterday and in 6 hits from maybe 3 steps away, with full or near full hit markers on 4 of those hits and half on the other 2, I did 83%. Now, I’m not sure how that’s possible given the hit markers and distance but it happened. To make matters worse, the enemy FINALLY hit one shot on me (didn’t fire much, wasn’t very good) as I was reloading and backed away and I went down immediately.
If it matters -
My ping was 9ms
My friends was 10ms
The enemy team was 90-100ms with spikes upwards of 1000ms.
Definitely not a good environment for a Gnasher…

So I have played Gears of war since release. I have always played Ranked Execution. I bought Gears 5 just to Play ranked execution. How can they just take it away ? I paid money to play it. Spent plenty of real money on this game. ? Who cares if not a big mass group is playing ranked Execution. I am. Do I not matter ? Do the hundreds of people playing it not matter.I play it everyday. Along with hundreds of other real people who enjoy it. Please please bring back ranked Execution.
