I can understand execution being removed even though it is og gears cause of how long it can take to find a match but removing guardian…wow!!!
Guardian is one of the ones I play the most cause KOTH is terrible anymore.
I guess it is TDM 24/7

I’d rather watch paint dry than play TDM. Such an awful mode for Gears.

Nothing infuriates me more than when a teammate on boxes spawns on the left then goes right every single round, makes me wanna pull my hair out every time

As you can see, King of the Hill is my highest playlist but that’s due to it being the playlist we played at launch. I stuck with it because it was the mode I exclusively played in Gears 4 but the more I played it in Gears 5 the more I disliked it. Guardian has been getting 90% of my playtime the last 2-3 months and I don’t intend to ramp up my KotH playtime just because it’s removed. If anything, my Gears playtime is now minimal. As you can see, I’ve tried Escalation but couldn’t bring myself to reach an hour of play time in it.

I meant TDM 24/7 cause escalation 2.0 is dumb and I can’t stand KOTH most of the time in this game. That only leaves TDM and 2v2.
Plus I just meant playerbase wise is all people are probably gonna play now.
FFA was fun for a little bit and Arcade well we don’t talk about arcade cause it’s trash.
I understand that.
My point was that gaming is meant to be fun. If I don’t enjoy a mode I won’t play it. TDM falls into that catagory. Arcade is indeed trash.

Getting rid of Guardian doesnt even make sense to me, we’re stuck with what 4 ranked modes now? (1 of which is just 2v2 in a small box with a single weapon for the most part) and of said 4 modes theres barely any variety in them, I’d rather take longer search times (even though search times for guardian havent been bad at all lol) and a variety of modes than what we’re getting

Removing Guardian and Execution in one shot?! Remove Escalation while you’re at it!
Escalation is convoluted and takes a long time to find a match with or without a squad.
King of the Hill is also a joke with the current spawn rotation, and ranking system adds more to its “fun”, guess it’s going to be worse now.
Execution was my only enjoyable mode, I feel that it’s the only mode that shows somebody’s true skills…

Removing Execution and Guardian is terrible. Now it really is a Gears game and not a Gears of war game. Get rid of Escalation and put Gridiron in its place.

Execution does really need skill and should be the game mode in Esports aswell as never removed from ranked
