That’s actually really good numbers.
Not far off much newer hardware!

How would you turn it off? Options I have for maximum frame rate are:
Unlimited, 144, 120, 90, 60 and 30.
If you meant minimum frame rate, I turned it to ‘none’ and the results where pretty much the same.
You would choose Unlimited.
Thanks, yep i’ve set to unlimited everytime i run the benchmark. I just uninstalled and reinstalled the driver in case it was corrupted, but the results are still the same :(.
My workaround at the moment is to have everything capped at 30fps so it doesnt have those massive dip in fps, and if i bump everything to ultra it doesnt appear to affect the 30fps. Just unfortunate that my GPU appears to be playing up with this specific game, as looking at the graphs, it’s obviously different compared with everyone elses.
Was Gears 4 ok?
Yep had no issues with 4, performance was bloody amazing! As well as ultimate edition of original gears of war for PC
The only thing I can then suggest is waiting until Tuesday for the Nvidia Drivers.
One other thing you could try is swapping GPUs and seeing what happens - does the performance go up, down or stay the same.
Thanks for the help mate, Will try both.
Yeah,
Give it a go and hopefully that rules out system bugs or issues.
Oh my God.
I was playing more than 60 fps always. Gtx1080.
Now 20/25 fps even lower res than 1080.
Please help.
Wow!
That doesn’t sound right!
Maybe the Drivers tomorrow will help.
It was too pretty to be real.
Now I am again with a powerful PC unable to play.
TC are hitting my in my heart so many times.
Give me a break!!
Yeah,
Could just be bad optimisation for anything that isn’t RTX because I stay 100-144.
I don’t think it was that. In 1080 it was above 110 in the benchmarks, ultra options. In 4k, high graphics and 50fps ultratextures.
I just fixed it. I have deleted the most recent drivers and installed the previous ones. And it seems to be working. Thank God.
Yeah,
I’m still on 2-3 versions prior.
But hoping tomorrow’s drivers give extra boost.
I just want to make a note that the benchmark for the final version of Gears 5 is slightly different than the one from the tech test. The final version took out a scene towards the end that was pretty non taxing to your system which would in turn boost your benchmark score. So if your benchmark score is lower than it was in the tech test that can be a reason why.
This makes total sense how
It’s that opening part where Kait ducks and comes up that lowers the score a lot, especially with minimum FPS.
I am having a nightmare with this game. The FPS is all over the place and I have a pretty decent rig , GTX 1070 64 gb ram etc. Downloaded the latest game ready drivers today (v436.30) and still no joy. The irony is for a couple of days it ran like a dream, nothing below 60fps at 1440, now, well now it’s a stuttering mess… Any advice?
Go back to old drivers?
Try that and see what happens.
