I respect your opinion but personally I absolutely love how movement feels in this game, I’m playing on the X and the game feels perfect to me, very smooth and responsive. Doesn’t feel slow to me, feels better than Gears 4 overall, it’s the first thing I noticed when I played Gears 5.

However I am in the process of tweaking my dead zones and sensitivity, I’ve been using the default controiller settings all along and doing quite well online against others, but I’ve seen a few videos that claim that it will improve my game if I tweak those settings.

Use classic alt controls for now, their seems to be fewer delays. Tc are apparently fixing classic alt soon, so dont expect it to stay that way.
Agreed though delays suck, well except melee that has no delays and it really really should.

Not to mention stopping power… Always been annoyed your movement is restricted more when you need it most.

I feel like maneuvering around obstacles while roadie running is smoother than any of the previous Gears games.

Yeah put settings as classic alt and remap your buttons to normal setup. It feels better like that. And honestly if they change it, I’m uninstalling.

Pffft you didnt need a mod to use the hammerburst. I could out mod a mod with a normal controller.

Ikr i had a modded controller and it was actually slower than my trigger finger on a regular controller.

Gears 3 is terrible,

Movement is fine minus the stopping power (like gears 3). It’s the shot delays that are the issue not movement. Gnasher needs patched as do a lot of other things

I like the movement and I have no problem getting around the map, feels extremely smooth to me. It does feel “scripted”, if I’m understanding you correctly, but I see that as a good thing; you have to actually commit to what you do before you do it. I liked 3 and 4’s movement too, for the record, but I’m fine with this change of pace.

I dont mind the movement it’s the delays that kill it for me. No "trucking " anymore , they have made it to where it is near impossible to out play someone with the gnasher. Forget about taking on 2 or people anymore. Cant beast mode people which is a shame because that’s what was exciting in any game and developers just want to cater to casual players these days instead making people work to get better.

Movement is slowed down mainly for cancels and A-strafing/roadie shots. Skill shots out of/utilizing cover still work the same or as effective as before. Unfortunately, those obviously have hard counters but if you want to circumvent the movement problem and make the gnasher “work” again then its all we got.

The delay on the shot post wall bounce/roadie really does hurt sometimes but not as much as dying to a dude you would’ve killed because you were reloading. If only my gnasher had two more rounds .,:sweat_smile:
