Haha yea we played a few matches before. Don’t think it’s hardware issue. This has been going on since series X optimization.
PC is crashing too, game just quits, no error when loading maps/matchmaking

Cool. I thought I was the only one. The game crashes while idle in the menus, browsing the store, or playing online.

Gears 5 has never crashed on my Xbox one x…I have the series x now but no crashes yet.
I have had the same problem. Today is 12/01/2020 and so far my game has crashed 8 times. I the middle of rounds, and right after a round. Doesn’t seem like they care enough to fix it. I have video proof over and over and two tickets ans still nothing

My Gears 5 has crashed a bit on the Series X, but nothing too crazy. Maybe 5 times since I got it on launch day.
Don’t rely on Quick Resume, though. That sh*t’s so inconsistent on whether or not it actually wants to work.

I’m having that issue too - One X crashing. Sometime it crashes while I sitting at the main menu.
I did install an Xbox system update last night. I think it started after that but that could be a coincidence.

It seems to be a problem with the game not matter the platform, both pc and console users are reporting the same thing. I have only crashed twice since OP 5 started, but today was crazy for almost everyone.

Every other game when using matchmaking for horde frenzy or classic, it will crash for me since Op5. Normally i’d use custom lobbies to avoid this as it always occurs when it says match created, the timer stops and i’m sent to the xbox dashboard

Really Bad… they made so much promotion with gears 5 and X / S optimated. And nothing works. Worst Support i ever seen. I have Videos too. I will try to conact them wirh insta and Twitter. And also will try to talk with the Gamestar magazin.

Im having the same issue for the last 2 days and today i can barely finish a quickplay match without it crashing on my one x …its inevitable for me it will crash …it kicks me completely out to the home screen.

The campaign has a couple issues I remember doing certain parts over in my initial play
Hey just wanted to add another victim of the crash here. So frustrating and it has deranked me from Diamond to Onyx because it keeps thinking I’m quitting . I’m on an original Xbox One. It has always been rock solid stable and it only crashes now in Gears 5 for some reason. Usually the crash happens during matchmaking but it is also crashing in the middle of game play. It crashed on me about 8 times last night, the worst it has ever been. Glad to know it doesn’t sound like a hardware problem but likely some bad code in there. For the time being they need to remove the point penalty because all that hard work grinding is being erased by the constant crashing.

Still no word on a fix? C’mon, TC. It looks like I’ll grind out something else until we hear something. OP5 looks really interesting, too.
