But yeah, disgusting behaviour. If all the criticism was unjust it would still be shady, but actively seeking to create the impression that this game is something it isn’t, disgusting.
Fortunately the few that are left who care about Gears, know this game is utter turd.
For the wider gamer sphere, no one even cares about this series any more, and if by some chance it ever crops up in discussion, the game is widely (and correctly) viewed as complete and utter dross.

Did anyone notice the popup after the most recent update this week? As soon as you opened the game it prompted you to leave a review. I know I left a rating for the first time for gears after that reminder. Maybe more users did the same?

that might explain the increase in the number of ratings, but it does not explain the drastic reduction in bad reviews 
or why people who had given low rating before were asked to review it, with their past reviews magically removed… which I guess is the same issue…

If anything that would have increased the poor ratings only because the majority are returning players and cannot rate the game based on the update, so likely would have given it a low score. I myself completely skipped the rating because I could not accurately rate the product as it stands today without having put some time into it.
As it sits, I’d give it 1 star for still not including xp/medal progression in private versus bot matches.
I thought you were being sarcastic. No my original review was taken down. I got a new prompt to leave one when I opened the game like it had never even happened.

They deleted like 70% of reviews, they are cheating, I remember the score in store was 2/5 and the score you see when you download the Xbox game pass is 4/5

It so hard for them to mantain a good " image for the product" that they have to erase valid reviews in order to save face.
its kind of embarrasing for them , that such a big company have to rely on such dirty techniques.

I rated it highly because I liked it and have had a good time with it. I did put in my review that there were bumps in the road. My biggest issue was terrible hit reg that forced me to put it down for a week or two. After they got the servers ironed out for the most part, the hit reg. tightened up for me. Since then I’ve had fun with it. Not everybody dislikes this game. But, to each his own.

you have to be one of the few man… which is great I mean if you are having a good time . its great
this is quite uncommon that someone likes Gears 5… I mean only Link and @Mark36111 are happy with the product at this point.

That’s just not true. I play with my friends all the time and we have plenty of fun and matches are always easy to find even late at night so there has to be at least a decent player base. It’s FAR from the height of the franchise though.

Yeah, can confirm they deleted mine and asked for a new one.
The only thing that could justify this are TU’s.
But it’s all skewed as those who quit, and they are many, have not and prolly will not rate again.
