For PvP modes, yeah.
Even for PvE. The lack of characters is the reason most people drop out of lobbies as 90% of the time your top 2 characters are taken.
I know I’ve defended this game but even I know theres a ton of problems. I’ve been lucky for a lot of the problems but I have delt with a some since release. But to act like theres nothing wrong with this game is just childish
I have server issues from time to time, just like everyone else.
On my first Campaign playthrough, I had lost Jack’s Ultimates in a bug at the end of Act 2. But in general, nearly everything works like they’re supposed to.
I still have issues with Escape match not loading up. So I have to restart game. But this is uncommon.
Today on Master Escape for The Labyrinth, my Keegan got bugged into first person mode and couldn’t move or change weapons. So we had to restart Master run.
So don’t assume I have a bug-free copy of the game. You may need to take your assumption glasses off.
These are minor bugs and issues which doesn’t bother me too much. Only the servers when they don’t work for hours.
I agree. The fact is, whether accepted or not, the game is broken. There are a ton of glitches and I’ve encountered a lot of them. Everything from campaign progression, medal tracking, collectibles, achievement progress, etc. To blindly say the game is complete and functional is just putting the horse blinders on.
They’re not assumption glasses. It’s the way you phrase your replies and state how the game is ‘complete’ and not ‘broken’. You may have uncommon errors, but a lot of us have a lot of the common errors, or errors that seriously need fixing. Everything from Campaign, to multiplayer, and everything in between. That’s why a lot of us feel like you’ve got the rose colored glasses on in this case.
Yea to act like that is just ridiculous. EVERY mode has some serious issues. Some people have been lucky but most havent.
Or I simply have a higher tolerance to bugs to this game than others. Some treat it like the end of the world, just because something doesn’t work as intended. At least I’m grateful that the game released already and made lot of progress. The game isn’t completely broken. Most of the time, it works.
The game could have used at least another 6 months in development. A triple A title should never be released in the state this one was
There is a high tolerance for bugs, and then there is just broken. I had the hardest time completing the campaign. I dropped from the online servers so much in the first week of launch it was unbelievable. I couldn’t progress, it took me so long to complete chapter one. Chapter ONE. Normally I’m able to marathon a campaign in a day, then go back and get my collectables. Not with this game. I completed the game, no achievement until three days later.
It said I didn’t even complete both the open world chapters, and the final four chapters. Plus 2 acts in one when I completed the whole game. Then, I collect the same collectible four times and it doesn’t track. I go through the campaign in co-op with my husband like I’ve done for every gears and it didn’t track at all! We had to go back and play it again! Still have all of act 3 not completed.
I’ve been booted from lobbies, had glitched guns, black screens, TOD not track, horde medal progression problems, events not tracking, more black screens, being booted to the main menu. Frame rate stutters, getting stuck in walls. PvP lobbies getting stuck. It’s a mess. I’m okay with some glitches, but this game is packed full of them and my patience has run out. I’m usually pretty lenient with my favorite franchises, I’m a 27 year fan of Sonic the Hedgehog for F^cks sake and I survived the '06 and Boom glitches. But this is on par with Fallout 76 levels of broken. Good Grief.
It depends on who you ask my dear Ektope. The entirety of Europe may not see it that way…
I agree, I uninstalled and playing gears of war 4, you know, one that actually feels like a gears game!
Me and my brothers have been playing the campaign blind in 3 player co-op and we just stopped because Jack is completely broken. His powers NEVER work properly and we end up having to reload checkpoints almost every 20 mins because an event won’t trigger properly or Jack won’t be able to interact with something to progress the game.
Even ignoring EVERY other technical issue with the game - they have play testers. Meaning they knowingly released something that was defective.
This is the most accurate assessment of the situation at hand right now. Leadership at TC needs to wake up and look at this
My first Campaign playthrough, I didn’t get kicked out by server at all. Didn’t have stuck in sand bug. The only one bug was quitting and loading up save, but Jack’s Ultimates gone. So that was where I turned from Insane down to Experienced for rest of playthrough. All the Chapters registered anyway. Including Collectibles.
Out of the bugs you’ve named, I’ve had black screen once or twice and getting stuck through a wall, once. The other ones, not really. I haven’t had them.
But then , I don’t played Versus or Ranked too much. Which is why you don’t see me complaining about them on here. I couldn’t give about Rank, points, aim assist or knife melee. Even though I’ve tolerated doing Versus and Ranked Medals and currently 98% Medals. I didn’t even have European player moved to US server issue either, for past weeks.
I guess it just depends, everyone’s experience would be different. And I’m the not the kind of person to complain and exaggerate issues because it’s negative energy.
That…isn’t the point of the joke.
I’m not exaggerating, I’ve had every single issue I’ve listed and then some. In the campaign alone I had to reload the hotel chapter with the deebee hallway at least 5 times because I kept getting stuck after the flock and it wouldn’t load the checkpoint or the next scenes after that.
In the ice world I got stuck in the first radio tower 8 times because Jack’s stuff wouldn’t load, then it wouldn’t load the exit and I couldn’t progress.
In the desert none of my collectibles tracked and I black screened after the space station.
I black screened in a lot of act one and four, especially after long battles of enemies.
PvP, there is a lot of high ping and framerate stuttering.
Horde is just a hit or a miss when it comes to the lobby. I have a dedicated group I play with and the main guy, our JD, he usually gets dropped twice a game on average. Not to mention the horrible framerate drops on certain bosses or at the beginning of waves.
But even if you arent experiencing the amount of problems like a lot of people on here, its obvious that they are there and are affecting gameplay. There’s no denying that
Thank you this made me chuckle. 95% of the time your gifs make me laugh except for when its about our lovely disagreement lol
