I’ll only use the chainsaw in horde and escape👍,just need to get used to the controller,which buttons/bumpers/Triggers to use.but in versus I’ll use the gnasher only

I use the Elite and this shouldnt be too much of a change but then again I use my left ring finger and a paddle as A so I can still bounce and move while my right hand can guide the beer to my mouth.

Yeah, I don’t think it will have much of an impact.

As long as lancer reloads correctly and doesn’t accidentally go into Chainsaw Rev mode :sweat_smile:

This is very much a wait and see for me, I don’t think it’ll be much difference in practice. Still be interesting to see if I can 50+ kills with the chainsaw in a match though. :grin:

What pissed me off is that getting hit by some stray bullet will still stop the chainsaw from revving up, like in 4 (they answered my question in the dev stream). I fracking HATE that, makes the chainsaw useless in cqb combat…

Seems so. Funny, not once did that cross my mind. That won’t be hard to adjust to, but it won’t be enjoyable.

If that’s the case,

I will map one of my paddles to RB instead :sweat_smile:

After initiating the Duel, then switch to the paddle.

I hope we can have classic controls like we had in gears 4 I hate the reload and Chainsaw on the same button aswell at the y button being practically useless now because they put to much in the B button as long as there’s an option to go back to classic I’ll be good

Exactly, it’s a mess. Y being execute was perfectly fine! B does have too much on it, plus RB is ridiculous for the chainsaw.

I missed the 2nd Tech Test because of a family break but I’m quite glad, actually.

I think it worth having this different controls. It would be awkward with aiming Grenade Launcher with B and RS. You would literally have to play claw to aim Grenade Launcher. So they moved B to RB. Better this way.

Holding B would continue to do knife slashes. But with Retro, Lancer and Grenade Launcher, holding B would just previously do secondary attack / charge. Not good. But I guess the new changes were better.

At first, people thought this would be bad idea. But once understanding, it all makes sense in the end.

I can see their point, but they’re essentially changing the controls for a grenade launcher, so far. If that’s the case then that could be put to RB while the chainsaw and Retro could remain at B where they belong,

I’ll get used to it but unless there’s a big change to Versus, I can see me sticking around for some achievements then returning to Gears 4.

Please for the love of GOD make this a OPTION for players to select. Getting stuck reloading when you meant to kill something is reta rded, and the person that decided that this should be a thing without giving players an option to change it should be fired!
