Gears 5 all negative reviews deleted on xbox store

Sorry for late response.

No. Unless there’s legit reason(s). Which is pretty much what you have said. So I think we’re on the same page.

I remember going to their page on FB and I saw a comment from this guy saying something like: "Amazing game. Best of the series. Thank you so much Microsoft":rofl::rofl:

And you think snowden left the U.S. Cause they would not Sent him into a Camp ?

Not a camp, prison. And let the irony be that he fled to Russia, not exactly a country known for a good reputation of human rights. Or free press, for that matter. A bunch of journalists have already been assassinated there.

I’ve redone my negative review 3 times. I gave up. I told it like it was, no cursing, or being a ■■■■ about it. Just a flat out negative review with valid criticisms. All to be removed cause Xbox/TC can’t be bothered to see that this game is a mess and a joke. Worst in the series to say the least. Instead of deleting reviews. You bust your balls to fix it. But why not just NOT fix it and delete reviews. Cause ■■■■ the fans am I right?

I would probably give this game a 3/5 honestly. I like the new features, guns and game modes they have but that’s honestly about it. My biggest gripe with this game is the mechanics. I don’t understand why TC always has to change the game mechanics for every new game they make. Just keep the same game mechanics as UE and this game would be amazing.

In my opinion I believe that no Gears of war game can realistically be rated lower than a 2 out of 5.
This is because when I review or score games I tend to think of it as a 0-100 in comparison to every other game I’ve ever played.
With the great graphics, animation, voice acting, a nice cover system, reasonable enemy ai etc I can easily say any gears game at the time of release has been better than 40% of every other game I’ve played. To give this game 0 or 1 stars when I know there are arguably much worse games out there with higher ratings inst that fair.

Being said, with bugs and lack of content etc I don’t think it can get over 4 out of 5 either.

I like how a certain someone keeps fighting that the reviews on the Xbox Store on the console are legit lol. Each one of those gets vetted and they will let the occasional bad review thru, sometimes they will let all the reviews thru. But considering TC and Microsoft are bum buddies, those reviews can not be taken seriously and have been wiped of negative reviews, as the 2 companies work together, hence the whole franchise being available for the Game Pass.

MS owns TC.

What’s despicable is the way all the supposed “fans” of GOW here were so gleeful about the game getting review bombed before, and are now salty that the real review score is revealed. Likewise, the Gears 5 haters get upset when Gears 5 goes up in player count, gets nominated for awards, has a successful e-gaming event, or really has anything positive happen for it. A lot of folks here need to re-evaluate whether they’re actually GOW fans at all.

Yeah I don’t get it either. If you don’t like the game, fine nothing wrong with that. But being ok with review bombing and wanting to see a game/franchise fail is just flat out weird.

I’m not arguing against what you posted, as you have actual mathematical evidence/proof as opposed to others,

I’m also not defending MS. Right now the 2nd review of the game gives it one star, claiming the game is political propaganda with no explanation as to their reason for that opinion. Ditching that wouldn’t be as bad as one of someone critiquing the game.

On somewhat of a side note, the game reviews are split between the standard and ultimate editions with the former having about 2k and the latter 32k. I wonder if the ultimate saw a similar change, or if it remained consistent.

Will the real review score please stand up.
I am not ok, with review bombing.
But it is painfull to see, when i post my review it is removed the next day.

Don’t even have reviews if you’re not gonna count every vote equally. Seems kinda rude to throw out some people’s votes imo

Thanks for being a voice of reason here. It’s one thing for MS to delete real reviews (if that is even really happening as the evidence is very suspicious) but it’s an equally hanous thing to review bomb and to get salty when the game is receiving praise.

I hate to think that people worked their assess off to create this product and yet there’s some toxic a**holes who think it’s okay for them to trash and manipulate how that product is received because they don’t like it.

Besides, review bombing and s*** talking says more about them as people than it does about gears.

It isn’t weird at all. This game failing is important for future of Gears and other Microsoft games, as well as for Game Pass in general. How TC are handling monetization and live service model can not continue.

Hope that helps.

I don’t think this was a case of review bombing at all though. Gears 5 is a mess.

Review bombing?

First of all, you must log in to your account in order to review a game in Microsoft store. And you must have played the game using your account or you won’t be able to review it. And finally, you can only give one review.

So review bombing my a**. Just accept people are upset and disappointed, and rightfully so.

edit. And right now it’s Microsoft trying to manipulate how the game is received.

Understood, and I somewhat agree, however there are different ways of going about this then just wanting to see a game flat out fail and essentially pressing the reset button. Gears 5 is a very big game that I’m sure took a ton of money and resources to develop, so its failure would certainly cause more harm than good.

Instead fans should provide legitimate feedback and concerns to the developer, as well as what they would prefer to see. Then if the developer still doesn’t respond or refuses to make changes, a more drastic approach would be acceptable. I think even the biggest Gears 5 naysayers can admit TC has been pretty responsive to feedback and have shown that they are willing to make changes. This should at the very least be acknowledged by fans of the series, even if they dont like Gears 5. But review bombing the game with 1 star scores at launch is neither legitimate nor reasonable. Even at launch Gears 5 was not a 1 star game.

As for Game Pass, monetization, and the live service model, these are just the current trends in the gaming industry and they were simply applied to Gears 5. You see this everywhere now in almost every game. I highly doubt TC even had a real say in this. So I doubt you will see much change here, even in Gears 6.

Once again, you don’t have to like Gears 5, you can even hate it, but there are better ways to provide feedback than review bombing. Also remember that there are a lot of people out there who do enjoy Gears 5. IMO seeing a developer turn things around is much more satisfying than seeing a game fail.

If someone reviews the game with 5 stars its ok.
But if someone does not like the game because of some technical errors and gives it 1 star its a review bomb?

You just said it yourself. “Some technical technical errors” (Even though Gears 5 has more issues than that)

But does this truly warrant a 1 star? And a review bombing of them as well? No.

5 stars? I personally think the highest Gears 5 should get is a 4.
