I don’t get your point. That sounds like an honest review.
No. These reviews are consistent with the positive feelings the overwhelming majority of players feel toward Gears 5. Review bombing is harmful specifically because it masks the true quality of a product.
Anyone can say that lol.
Fact is you lied about the score. It was 4.3 or better since OCTOBER which I proved with 2 photos so don’t bother arguing with your drivel, why can’t they lie about that?
Proof is needed. I want to see a negative review you know has been removed by Microsoft. Not so e random guy saying it happened. Until then this is a troll thread
I remember perfectly that the scores were between 2.2 and 2.7 in U.S. and Mexican stores between October and early December, and here we have already presented captures and testimonies that those scores really existed.
Instead you talk about evidence but how do we know that those captures you “supposedly” shot in October are from that date?
Here the liar is you and I do not understand the reason why you lie, but that does not matter because neither lies nor censorship can silence and deceive people:
Reviews does nothing except artificially inflate TC’s ego considering they’re in bed with Microsoft and can adjust all the ratings to their liking. It doesn’t change anything in the end.
Speak with your wallet. It’s the only thing that matters. I, for one, will not be buying Gears 6 under TC. But not even that may matter because Gears is just another trashy Gamepass title and if we have Gamepass and play other games, they’d still get a little piece of that pie because it’s a "HUGE"part of their line-up. I’m certain that TC knows that they’re trash and are being smudge about it because Microsoft is protecting them.
Microsoft isn’t protecting them, Microsoft owns them. And if TC keep making underperforming games, they’ll be shut down like Lionheart. But that won’t be happening any time soon.
I agree about speaking with our wallets.
edit. Lionheart wasn’t shut down because underperforming games but bad management. Still the point is, studios aren’t safe.
After reading my first post maybe I was a bit extreme. If you look at the beginning of that review, it states that the negative reviews are people who have only got 1 or 2 achievements and have played the game for 20 minutes.
That part shouldn’t be on there as it’s a place for peoples own reviews of the game. It’s like saying all the positive reviews are valid and the negative ones are invalid. Maybe some of the positive ones played the game for the same amount of time as negative ones (20 mins apparently).
It’s misleading essentially.
You’re also a random going on with his drivel. Now the question is which rando should I believe.
I’ve been done with this thread for a while, you guys can moan all you want amongst yourselves.
I recall the scores being low as well prior to the creation of this thread and the other one. Just let him be, dude is delusional beyond any sort of help. The game is worth 84 out of 5 stars. It’s literally humanity’s salvation and the answer to world peace and the cure to all ailments. Let’s just accept it I guess.
This story made it into a video from one of the gamer content creators, link starts on the Gears 5 part
uhm, no I collected all the reviews on Dec 3rd, and I posted them on twitter, hoping to get TC to notice the low reviews and make changes to the versus game play.
Unless you’re talking about reviews OTHER than MS Store reviews from US, UK, Canada, Mexico, or Australia, then fine, I don’t know about those.
I think the game its better as it was from release I grant TC that, However there are a lot of issues ahead that hasn’t been addressed before and still the players suffers from such mistakes.
The action from Microsoft erasing the bad reviews that had been collected before since launch , its a dirty move from their part I think none of us are dumb enough to believe that the game right now its 4.5 out of 5 in its current state, Its a marketing maneuver that it was implemented , that unfortunately its not gonna work… since still we are here in the forums complaining on the game instead of playing it .
I think honestly that if the Gears 5 was that good it would be like nintendo forums that are dead wastelands which there aren’t people at all , since all of them are happy playing mario maker 2 … Gears 5 its not the case, proof is that we’re all here and not playing the game as we should.
It hurts to say this, since its the best game that I’ve played besides Chess… however I can’t ignore the reality of the product as it is.
Absolutely despicable behaviour.
So according to you nobody is justified in reviewing this game poorly? Why? Simply because YOU believe it’s deserving of accolades? Thats a touch self centered. There is legitimate reason to be disappointed/dissatisfied with this product and anyone that chooses to express that frustration should be permitted to do so in the same manner that another individual may choose to heap praise upon it, without being persecuted or having their less than flattering review removed.
More than 1 reason… perhaps 20 to be honest.
Not really a fair comparison right? You’re comparing the alleged removing of negative reviews with countries where complaining can get you in an ‘education’ camp or the other where having the wrong hair cut can mean you and your whole family end up in a concentration camp.
Slightly off the main topic but I’m surprised reading how many people actually enjoyed the campaign.
After pushing through the snow skiff map, as soon as I saw another “open world” sand-skiff map I was done.
That makes it the only campaign in a gears game (including judgement!) that I had no interest in completing.
Combine that with a downgrade in terms of multiplayer function and content, I couldn’t imagine how this game could be more than a 2 out of 5.
If a follow up to a game doesn’t improve on the previous one it should never deserve an above average score imo.
Exactly the point I was trying to get across. Clearly you’ve worded it much better. I 100% Agree.
It’s definitely an unpopular opinion to dislike the campaign however, doing the campaign totally felt like a chore. Once I completed act 2 I was hoping that was the end of the skiff. Then I saw the skiff in act 3 and cursed out loud which I don’t usually do.
That being said, I still completed the campaign. The end of act 3 and all of act 4 was decent imo and so was act 1. The skiff ruined a big part of the campaign for me and so did the “open world”.
I loved Jack though.
Campaign was average at best.
