For you it will be a “minority” that is criticising Gears 5, but the facts speak for themselves, and it doesn’t matter if you want to see it or not.

The game is rubbish pure and simple. Have you even played any of the previous games because thats what this rubbish is being conpared too. The only good game the TC has made is gow ultimate and thats because it was baed on the best game in the series.

Nothing here is worth getting upset over. In the end, we’re all just debating over a video game.
It doesn’t matter. People lie about whatever they want to anyhow. And they convince themselves that the game is a 5… when it’s clearly less than a 2. Even the developers know it. If it’s so good, why do they have a mile long honey do list to fix it? Why did they admit that they never even gave any attention to strafing and assumed people only cared about bouncing? Why do they have to fix but after bug after bug? Why have hey adjusted every price in their store? Why are they now adjusting every mechanic in the game, literally EVERY mechanic? If this game was a 5, it would need absolutely 0 fixes, mechanic changes or apologies from the developers. Yet, here we are.
But everyone ignores that. And I saw the reviews. I saw the terrible score. It has absolutely been falsified. And it’s not just MS doing it. TC does it on this very site. I have screen shots of “posts removed by staff members” because they were “reported” as being against ToS. I have photo evidence I didn’t curse. Didn’t call any one names. Didn’t say anything cross to anyone about anything. I was having a polite discussion about the store and how I felt it was not a good fit for Gears as a whole. And boom, removed. And not auto flagged and hidden. It actually says my posts were manually removed by a staff member. A living human being read my posts, saw there was no violation, and still removed my posts anyway. That’s some scandalous BS.
That might not be against a constitutional amendment. But it is against BBB policies and federal laws to manipulate reviews and discussion with the intent to mislead your current or prospective consumers. Video gaming as a whole is completely falling apart. It’s all a sham. MS and TC just happen to be at the top of this scummy pyramid.

I LITERALLY posted the score PRIOR to your alleged censor. It was 4.3 avg. The game NEVER had an average below 4.

This is a straw man. Nobody is saying Gears 5 has to be a 5 for everyone. A four would also be a reasonable score for the game given, as you point out, it has needed plenty of post-launch fixes. I think at this point (i.e., post-fixes) it’s pretty solidly a five, but if you want to deduct a point based on the prior state of the game, that’s your prerogative. When you get into claiming 1 or 2, however, you’re just review bombing.
Not to mention the BBB is a non-governmental organization with no law enforcement power, and in any case there’s nothing in federal law or regulation preventing Microsoft from deleting whatever reviews it wants off of its own servers.
How many stars this game deserves depends…
If this was part one it could be seen as a solid game worth 4 stars. As five is the highest rating it should be reserved for nearly perfect games and with the gnasher bugs, horrible matchmaking and ranking and all the in game paying plus how few maps there were on release, it does not deserver 5 stars when you are serious.
However if you judge this game while having Gears 3 or even 4 in mind and make your decision based in relation to that and other top games, it should never get 4 or 5 stars as it made so many steps backwards. Technically and how people feel while playing. Then, 3 stars is still an appropriate judgement.
Some people might be so frustrated that they give 1 or 2 stars and why shouldn’t they if they feel like? Some say thats exaggerated and therefore it is ok to delete those rating. I just leave aside that this is worst censorship and a kick in the ■■■■ for the customers - if we aggree that it is ok to delete 1 and 2 stars because they are not realistic MS should be so consequent to also delete all 5 stars rating as they are clearly not based on the pure facts, too. But they don’t do that of course.
So it is just muting negative voices in favour of sales. And to me this is fraud as they pretend to show me what all the buyers of the game think but then remove many opinions to trick me into buying it.
Personally I would give it 4 stars right now as an objective rating, removing one star for how often the feeling is just bad conpared to the old parts and now removing one again for the censorship in the store. This way I would come to a quite fair and well justified two-star-rating.
Which is the reason I dont rate it at all as it would hurt my Gears heart.

I was already not a fan of TC (for ripping me off as a Season Pass buyer with reworked launch maps!), but this is putting me off MS too. Well, even more than their woeful output this gen already has.
