Gears 5 all negative reviews deleted on xbox store

This is incorrect. The form contract provisions are the point of the law:

An Act
To prohibit the use of certain clauses in form contracts that restrict the ability of a consumer to communicate regarding the goods or services offered in interstate commerce that were the subject of the contract, and for other purposes.

There’s nothing that says it’s illegal for review hosts to remove reviews they don’t like.

Its untheical @Mark36111 and its misleading the public into telling people that Gears 5 its great when it isn’t.

It’s not ethical to do such business practices regarless wether its on a law paper or not.

" The Consumer Review Fairness Act was passed in response to reports that some businesses try to prevent people from giving honest reviews about products or services they received."

Removing reviews from the consumer is a way of preventing them from giving their reviews/opinions on a product.

I honestly don’t want to play lawyer with you Mark. I really don’t, especially during the holidays. Not my area of expertise, I’ll admit, but to me it seems clear as day as to what and why the act was enacted. You can take all that info and do with it as you will.

To me, it’s unethical to deter potential players from the enjoyment of Gears 5 by allowing the game to be review bombed.

It wasn’t bombed , the people has spoken the criminal ( Gears 5) was sentenced to death by hanging…

the only thing you and I can’t do its watch the show when it get’s hanged and that’s about it man.

Jurors has the last word in the legal system.

Courts adjourn.

It wasn’t negative bombed though it had only a few reviews and the negative ones for the most part explained why they disliked it but there was only a small amount like 260 rating/reviews. My review was deleted twice from the normal Gears5 and I wrote why I gave it a low rating not a 1 star btw.

The good on the other hand didn’t have people writing why they liked it very few and then when it was at about 2.8 or something which seemed realistic with both sides a little even but mixed it then went up to 4.4 after a day or so with around 3000 added 68 percent 5 star.

I don’t think it was bombed negatively it was bombed positively by them or supporters and I noticed most Microsoft game seems to have the most ratings Idk it’s hard to like look away from it and timing.

And even then it depends on whether the FTC acts, and if taken to court whether the court agrees. Been some weird results that defy common sense in various cases involving big companies. For reference Google subway sued overc6 inch and footlong sandwiches not being the advertised size.

Never heard of that one. There have definitely been some wierd .ss cases in the US that’s for sure.

Shhhh, all 5 star reviews are legit and can’t be questioned. 1 star reviews on the other hand, tsk tsk…

Trash game & trash developers. Microsoft has Zero integrity, after they removed all the negative reviews (including my previous negative review) of the game to falsify its star rating just prior to Christmas.

Shocking that is now showing gears 5 as 4.6 out of 5 stars when it was previously 2.5 stars.

This is disgusting and completely misleading behaviour, treating gamers like they are in a living in a communist state.

There is absolutely no way the rating of the game is anywhere near over 3 stars.

This is not only misleading but entirely false.

Also the game is genuinely awful, worst Gears of War multiplayer title ever created.

Is Microsoft manipulating the Metacritic and Steam reviews too, because Gears 5 is 3/5 or more on both platforms’ user reviews.

Exactly.
I agree with everything, especially with the game is genuinely awful, worst Gears of War multiplayer title ever created.

Luckily Microsoft can’t get their hands on the Steam ratings, and thanks to that we can see that Gears 5 has 46% negative reviews there (which would be 2.7 stars), which is much more realistic than the 4.6 of the windows store with which they try to fool people.

Steam, No. But thats a low rating anyway.

Metacritic user reviews have been suspect as anything for years. Lots of fake user reviews and paid reviews.

You’re clearly a huge fan of the game given on your blind communist loyalty posts to TC defending the game against anyone who criticises it… congrats, glad you like it or at least you claim you do.

Isn’t it great how people can like different things though and have different opinions about stuff, the world would be pretty boring if everyone was the same.

LuL of course it was a review bomb. Look at the pattern of reviews today vs. the initial launch period. Most of the negativity was from the first week when the game had major technical issues and people wouldn’t stop whining about microtransactions. The reviews since the immediate post-launch period are extremely positive.

In the end, product reviews are there to give people considering purchasing the game an idea of whether or not they’ll like it. According to the recent Steam reviews, the large majority of those who are purchasing the game today are enjoying it. Everyone clinging to “muh 2.6/5” needs to just accept that Gears 5 is not a 2.6/5 game and move on. The extreme negativity toward Gears 5 that led to that score only exists among a small minority of its players. The review bomb is over, and it’s not coming back.

I’m sorry but one cannot take seriously someone who dismisses negative reviews, and calls them a review bomb, but instead says nothing about the positive ones, even if they lack all neutrality.

All, read it well, all opinions count, from the first to the last day… and that includes all those that Microsoft desperately and vilely erased.
