Gears 4 PvP is better than Gears 5 PvP

Wow, second post and already separating quotes.

You are obviously not a new account!

It’s not rocket science

The gore’s the same. Hell, it’s slightly better in Gears 5 since the textures always load.

i loved the previous tuning in gears 5, good gameplay and weapon balance.

the thing is that there’s also a lot of people who loved 5v5, those game modes that are now gone, etc. with all of this, i keep going back to what @III_EnVii_III said, it comes down to those who have played and enjoyed the game for what it was for so long vs those who want any tiny little detail changed.

personally, i was perfectly fine with 5v5 in gears 4 or op3/4 in 5. there’s a huge divide in preferences and the feedback TC gathers.

Soon as I saw the thread title I thought “grass is also green” :stuck_out_tongue:

I saw this thread and decided to jump on 4. It feels and looks more like gears of war, even though I’ve really enjoyed my time with 5. Hit detection feels way better for sure.
I just wish there was a way to get around bot filled lobbies…

no

In 4 noobs can’t hit max rank like 5…

Never understood going down from 5v5 to 4v4,

Who exactly asked for it?

It makes the game even duller & sparse.

Every other game is going more players, and thriving.

Gears is going less, and no where near as popular.

  • Maybe they think it will help someway ,
like a faster matcmaking type .
  • Probably same noobies who want this slow motion tuning with delays ( my best quess )

people started getting these ideas of faster matchmaking, but that being the reason is pretty weak and shows the game is not as popular as 4.

then you had a surge in a strange group of people hell bent on taking tdm and guardian away from people. they hated the fact that people were enjoying their 5v5 matches. “those modes shouldn’t even be in ranked argghhhh!”

these guys who want to be “gears commentators” started shoving their opinions as facts. a very elitist group of people and TC ate it up.

guys that have seen me post on here know that i state my preferences but not without understanding another perspective. i even dropped the arguments of the tuning details in favor of an argument about the principle of it and the feedback gathered.

from my standpoint, i know a lot of people who played 4 religiously that dont touch 5. i have gone down that rabbit hole and seen it, and i find it hard to believe that there’s enough population to replace them.

so many people were perfectly fine with previous tunings, 5v5, tdm, guardian, etc

i mean, at this point it is a lost cause seeing TC’s attitude to the feedback. the big tuning thread closed with a “blah blah, see y’all never” response.

TC even hired a new gameplay lead who probably doesn’t know the difference between alternate and tournament control schemes

also, despite the obvious notifications on posts saying this and that person havent ever posted or havent posted in a long time, i still saw “prominent” members here on the forums downplaying it

boiling it down to just a few guys. yeah, just a few guys talking to each other, huh? however, i did see some objective free thinkers who said, “hey, i love the new tuning but there’s no doubt there was a significant amount of backlash and TC should have addressed it better.”

this whole thing is doomed.

Seems like TC have wasted close to 8? 9? 10 years being allowed to develop Gears.

It should have evolved into something the size of Fortnite, Apex, CoD, Battlefield, Overwatch - even if it’s the least popular among those, it would still be far more popular than it is now.

Biggest issue is with Gears:

*Inconsistent Tunings / Hit Reg
*Removal of Active Boost
*Going down from 5v5 (should be going UP)
*eSports - who actually cares? Couple hundred people?
*Chrome Steel
*Lack of Content in Store
*Weak ToD (every season!)
*Seasons Too Long
*Same Modes from 14 years ago
*Game isn’t fresh
*No BR (Gears Themed)
*All the slow gameplay, all the delays, weak guns

I would go with 4 being the more fun experience, however even that pales when comparing it with the mightier Gears 3 and multiplayer:

Better maps
Better weapon choice including load outs, I’m no fan of the shotgun mind you.
Great skins and in many cases better drawn faces.
Better pvp modes
Better Horde, and it has Beast.
Best reward system and the mighty Onyx grind.
4player campaign
RAAM dlc
… The list just goes on.

I know people do not like the camera shake, after playing for years, it doesn’t really bother me.

U are right .
Now everything is controlled by gamestudio , every comment , every thread if they wont like its closed , you cant even talk to this forum with fellow gearheads for some subjects like gun tunings , movements and worst of all you cant say that something is wrong .

Thats really nice : we are not some Sheeps
C’mon TC , if U dont wanna hear it just Block your ears

Gears 5 pvp is better in my opinion, but 4v4 is a wrong decision

4v4 was up there as one of the worst decisions.

All started with the God Awful Omen :confounded:

Every PVP except gow 1 was straight trash

I wouldn’t consider gears 2, 3, and 4 PvP to be trash. Gow 1 was awesome tho

I wouldn’t mind them going with a large scale attrition type game mode, where its pvp with bots like in titanfall.

Gears 3/2/1/UE pvp is amazing so yes.
