gears 2 had the best maps and weapon balance, only problems were launch + bad hosts tbh.

I’m in for remaking the campaign, but big, big changes would need to be made to the multiplayer. The maps don’t work with useful rifles. That seems why they are worried about bringing G2 maps into new games. G2 is fundamentally slow. rolling and even the gnasher fire rate are the slowest in the series.
I would try it, but I’ve been there, done that as far as versus goes.
I was hoping g5 would incorporate some of the maps and gane types possibly wingman and the 1v1 gnashers from gears remastered would be nice dont know why its not
Love 2’s maps.
I never got to play it when the multiplayer was at its prime but what I did play I still found enjoyable. Also loved addition of offline with bots. Makes the game an evergreen. Still go back and play it.
