Don’t forget that the idea of Escape is, um…to escape, not to sit trying kill every enemy.
So the idea of less ammo and enemies is pretty clear. You need to explore the map and you need to use everything you got to escape.

Did you watch the Escape trailer from E3?? The whole point is that you get caught by a snatcher and brought to a hive. You cant get caught with a ton of guns and ammo

Not a trailer person. I only watch actual gameplay.
I mean its technically game play but called a trailer because it was e3. Which is surprising since you say you have “no life” and cant wait for this game

What? Selling people more skins doesn’t fix the things that people are angry about.
And, no I’m not telling my friends what to do. Lol. 
In fact, even though I don’t like the multiplayer in 5, my best friends pre ordered last month so I told them I would buy it so my wife and I could play Horde with them. But, after they told me they weren’t interested in Gears 5 anymore and canceled, I decided just to use my free month of game pass on it instead.
I understand why some of you feel compelled to protect the game but you have to accept that people see disappointed for valid reasons. I think we can all still be Gears fans and deal with the idea that maybe not every title is going to be a crowd pleaser. It doesn’t have to be a personal thing.

I held defiantly that 5 would deliver and for me, it failed massively.
So I agree that some people will feel that way and equally, others will think it’s perfect.
Doesn’t stop me being a fan, enjoying campaign and hoping the next one does better.

I’m right there with you. It’s tradition for my wife and I to play every campaign and I really think we’re going to enjoy this one. It looks like a lot of work was put into it. I like that they’re running with Kait’s story.
We didn’t like 4’s campaign but put hundreds of hours into VS and Horde. It will probably work out the opposite with 5 just like it did with Judgement (we loved the campaign and didn’t touch the rest of the game). Being a true fan doesn’t mean being a zombie consumer. I still love Gears.

That should just be a one time thing for challenge. Then going back to shooting stuff. I’m not sure if team mates are not allowed to shoot either,
i told two of my friends and one said “I know. i’m not getting Gears 5” and the other said “i’m very disappointed” I’m sure i’ll only get similar responses if i keep asking
Don’t really care about achievements anymore. I’d like to break 200k, since I’m close, but I don’t actively hunt them anymore. Had a falling out with the staff at TrueAchievements and it sucks without that site’s tracking. Plus, my achievement hunter buddy that had over 600k offed himself a couple years ago. Not the same anymore.

I haven’t been playing Gears but many people I played with in the past have been jumping in our party chat to talk about Gears 5. Every time, I start by asking their opinion first and if they’re excited (because I don’t want to influence what they’re going to say or drag down their hype). It’s turned into a complaint session almost every time, then a Borderlands discussion. It is what it is.
I’m a bit heartbroken because I envisioned Gears 5 VS and Horde in a very different way but I HOPE people do like this game and enough people play it that we’ll see a well-funded Gears 6. If this one does poorly it’s bad news for everyone.

What do you mean by selling people more skins? I highly doubt you’re going to have to pay for new heroes.
People are complaining that they can’t use their favorite character and that you can’t use the same hero as someone else but more heroes will be added and there are already more than one of the hero types to use, like two engineers, for example.
When they fill out the hero roster you’ll be able to have 5 offense heroes, 5 scout heroes, etc.
People are acting like the launch heroes are all there will ever be. By the time you have played with them and leveled up their abilities TC will have already added more heroes.
This will add to the longevity of horde but I guess we should all cancel our pre-orders because we can’t have everything on day one.

I agree with you it’ll be so annoying if I can’t use Clayton in horde let alone, it’ll be worse if I can’t use him because someone else picked him. Why should I be punished because we both love the same character this isn’t siege or league of legends

And Private Casan seems to be AI Soldier name.
