Not sure what’s happening, I see the intro for 5 seconds then it crashes do desktop. I have 3900x with 2080ti running it off Xbox beta app. I have Nvidia latest drivers.

Go to app settings for gears and click ‘restore’.
Reboot PC and should work again.
I played for 3 hours this morning no issues at all, 4-6 hours later I’m now trying to play again… game will not run, crash after trying load something, if you hit escape on the splash screen you see it loading, freeze and crash to desktop. Nothing has changed… like ? Huh?

I have the same error, have you found any solution? The thing Ron suggested did not work.
What you also can try:
Disable all layover apps, like gamebar.
Disable your virusscanner.
I have, still wont start.

I’m experiencing the same issue. Get to main menu and then quits to desktop, no error. (Launching from xbox beta)
What confuses me even more, is if I log in to my partners account and boot the game up, it runs and works absolutely fine and I can boot the game/run benchmarks. But immediate crashes out of the main menu for mine?
EDIT: As a test to hopefully help out with any Devs looking into it. Just booted the game up with partners account and the menu ran fine (Frames on character were perfect) Then switched to my account via the Xbox beta program and then it logged me into Gears tactics. Frames totally dropped and then crashed out. No error.
Why is just my account affecting the game? Is anyone else experiencing the issue with just their account?
I actually found the solution for me. It was because I had undervolted my CPU with throttlestop, but because Vanguard (Valorants anti - cheat) blocked a specific dll file in throttlestop I could not use it anymore.
Because of that I could not use throttlestop no more! And because of that I can now start gear tactics and play the game with no problem at all!
I’m having same issue. I died on a boss fight and it crashed. Whenever I try reloading the game and continue my campaign it crashes. I’m like 15 hours into the game and I can’t even play anymore…
Whenever I try to load my current campaign the game crashes. It lets me starts new games and works fine but I can’t load into my main campaign. I am on Act 2 Chapter 8 and don’t want to to restart
Hi, I’m experiencing this issue as well. I’ve been playing the game for a week up until now just fine, but now it just refuses to load. I run the game, see the splash screen, and then as soon as it attempts to load the initial movie, it just freezes. What’s going on?
I tried another Xbox Game Pass game, and it runs just fine. I’m using 442.74, and I think it might be a DX12 issue.
Yeah got BSOD on startup . Don"t have this kind of problem with any other games.
Logging out of the Xbox app and back in again solves this for me. Seems to be account authentication related
I had the same problem. I don’t what the games does 1 sec into the splash intro but my CPU sky rockets to 90deg and then splay pauses for a sec. It would actually crash but I since reduced my overclocking a bit and adjusted voltages so now it pauses then resumes just fine w/normal temps for rest of session. I think this is the 1st game to really stress all 8 cores of my CPU,

Just thought I would add that the intro videos showing Microsoft, Splash Damage etc send my PC fans crazy. Assume they are unlocked FPS causing sudden temperature increase. It’s the only game that does it
