Yeah, we had a lot more scrap in GoW4 and the cards leveled up way more. Typical TC over reaction, they never ever tweak just ONE thing, they kick it, repeatedly into the ground (you know, Ryan hates “shot spamming” so they reduce gnasher mag size, they add this messaged up partial reload,AND make the reload slower). Same with Horde: yeah, let make the card levels waaaaaay more expensive AND lets make each level be worth waaaaaay less…
Good ■■■■ bro, you must have alot of time on hand. I was wondering if you had finished all heroes… Wanna run some master clock when I get back home?
Any reason for the massive amount of runs on the Hive etc? Did you run on Master most of the time?
Good question.
This is really well organized and informative. Nice job Ektope.
Yes, very good information. Nice one Ektope.
Wait, how is your drop rate for JD’s Razor Hail higher than Good Kill or Launcher Capacity?! I’ve been stuck trying to get Razor Hail to level 4 for weeks, usually joining Insane to Master runs in progress since I don’t have 3 hours at a time to play 1-50. But how are you that lucky, or am I missing something???
mate it’s completely random.
I leveled an alt jd to 18, I got razor hail to 4 before any other card. BEFORE ANY OTHER CARD
I’ve had JD at level 18 for so long I can’t remember. I have most most non-rare cards at level 5, with over 100 duplicates. Can’t get a Razor Hail card. Doesn’t seem random to me; I seem to get a disproportional number of green cards compared to what their colored “scale” shows based on difficulty setting. I wonder if you’re somehow penalized for joining matches in progress. maybe they give better rare drop rates for 1-40 compared to 41-50, or maybe better rates if you complete 1-50. Since I usually join in progress i’m generally playing like waves 41-50 or 31-50.
And we’ve seen so many posts showing that TC’s stated statistics don’t always match with proven in-game results that believing that “it’s all random” seems rather naive. Wouldn’t you agree?
Did you even read what I said??
My alt account jd had razor hail at 4 BEFORE ANY OTHER CARD.
including green cards.
It’s random.
LOL, did you read what I wrote? My experience leads me to believe that it is not random, and that there may be additional factors that they use. And let’s be clear, they state that the rarity of cards that you receive is not random, but affected, at a minimum, by the level of difficulty that you play on. Once you select a difficulty they imply that they give a weighted preference to each level of rarity, and then apply a RNG to each card’s weighted value. If you know anything about statistics, you know that the larger the sample, the lower the expected deviation from an expected value. I’m saying, respectfully, that the exceptionally high number of green cards that I have received is so far from the expected value, that there may be other factors (in addition to difficulty levels)that they have not disclosed.
But it is certainly possible that I’ve had very bad luck and you’ve had exceptionally good luck.
Omg are you seriously this dense guy???
Of course the difficulties have weighting. That isn’t random.
The part that is random is the random number generator mechanism behind the drops.
You still get random drops, within the weighting.
I got razor hail to level 4 before any other cards by farming an alt to 18 in master horde. Your argument is invalid.
wow cool thanks
Are you guys rich and dont have to work?
Wow, you seem to have some issues. I pointed out that the card drop is only supposedly random after weighting for difficulty, which is factual, and makes the point that they already apply modifiers to “randomness”. I suggested that, based on probability, my results deviate from expected values. I pointed out that I’ve have a reasonably large sample size, so while it’s possible that I’ve just had bad luck, any results that vary significantly from expected values should raise the possibility that they use more modifiers that just difficulty. That’s perfectly logical. I wish I had stats of each round I played so that I could provide exact expected values and standard deviations, but those stats aren’t available,
Before work this morning I had time for 14 waves on Lift on Inconceivable (probably 7 MVP’s, 10+ executions, several Coup de Grace’s). Got 2 green cards; Daddy’s Boy and GL Mastery, neither of which I ever use, and both of which have been level 5 for a long time. I think I have 18 dupes of Daddy Boy. So just more, continued, bad luck? Maybe.
Dude whatever lol
Bad luck happens. Statistics are like that and you could be one of those who has had much more unfavourable luck than others.
I remember that time in GOW4 where it took me 196,000cr (98 packs) to get Day Of The Dead Anya. As an average 40,000cr is probably a good average to complete a set back then. I got DOTD Baird and Marcus something like 13 or 14 times each prior to that.
I remember one thing my professor told me in statistics class in college.
“It’s not exact”
Hey Ektope will you be updating this post for the Skill Card changes and new characters?
It’s a great resource and I still come back here quite often.
Updated!,this is still a great source months later thanks. The forum needs more of this …
