First time playing Gears since Judgment basically and this was extremely unimpressive for all that I’ve heard about the game. Playing on PC and the audio functions are terrible. I can barely hear my friends talk, there’s no options for controlling voice volume, and my mic wouldn’t work at all. I believe the mic is on Microsoft/xbox since I am on PC and it’s never worked correctly, but either way, terrible start.
Game play was extremely slow and boring. It’s smoother and a better connection than past games but the slowness of the characters takes all the fun out of it. Picking up downed players has no risk to it whatsoever as they pick downed people up way too quickly and easily. Same as past games, there’s always one person who has a way better connection than everyone else and can abuse the living daylights out of it. Including me. I shouldn’t be able to get 20+ kills in my second game after not playing for 3-4 years. I guess it says enough that I come onto the forums and half the topics say “horrible” in the titles.
