Fastest way for character exp?

Great info in here, kinda busy in the first half of this week but I will be grinding out XP for at least the Heroic Gnasher and Lancer and maybe even the Snub.

To do the Surge Speedrun you’ll want to be on insane difficulty. Below off top of my head are the mutators you need to enable.

  1. More Filler Enemies
  2. More Drones
  3. More Health
  4. More Pouncers
  5. Ironman

In my newer video https://youtu.be/d2adLMhVHug I go over why and how to beat the speedrun. For a more in depth written guide take a look at this. GearsIncite.Com

so do you open the door and run in, or run to the door , or do you click the button and end the game. i tried pressing the button and restarting, and running to the door and restarting.

Did it for 5 hours by now. Insane without more lethal and Ironman. Get to the tile with the switch but don’t use it. 720 CXP every time

interesting ideas with doing the clock on incon and waiting for rejects. wonder if its faster/safer to do than the surge? especially with characters with not many resistences? interesting -

Also @dannyjo22 - horde frenzy speeds might be dead because people already have a 5 stack group already made for leveling and/or people already max’d out the speedrun characters so no one is playing them so its annoying/fruestrating to make a group.

I was trying to host one before and no one joined for 20 minutes 2 days ago.

I agree that Horde Frenzy on Overload is dead. People probably don’t bother since Marcus got nerfed.

I suggest just do the normal Surge speedruns, as you need all those skill cards in the long run.

IMO, it’s a larger guarantee than The Surge, the juvie melee is much easier to avoid than the drone and hunter gunfire, which is why I’d recommend it for all classes. The time it takes is practically the same and once you get the reject spawn, you can just restart the act ad nauseam and they will remain the same enemies.

yeah but for some classes, like the promotional, it is very easy to get max cards on them.

the question is if i care about profile exp and what duplicate cards can be turne into in the future. for now ill just max out my cards for all classes and then decide if i want to do that method or not.

also yeah ill prob give that a try. ty thief.

What is it, even with boost not including promo characters 18-20 is 1500 runs of surge. Yeah I will just keep playing frenzy having fun and rank them up naturally until a 6x event comes along or something. I’ve almost taken clayton from 18-20 since op5 dropped playing the game. I need 1k cxp and then I will move onto the next one on the list. Gives me a good change to dedicate some time to learning ones I haven’t really played much.

Hopefully someone will find a decent speedrun too for frenzy or 50 wave.

i like frenzy a lot but my issue is that lobbies are too inconsistent with waiting times which leads to bordom for me.

18-20 is 180,000 CXP which could be 225+ runs, so approximately 3+ hours or more.

Additional info, it seems killing enemies adds more CXP but I don’t think it’s worth the effort. That’s how someone could get 1k, but would take more than a minute or two. (I didn’t find this out myself or tested)

I’m missing something here. That’s 90 runs? I get 2k per surge run with boost on insane. Which mode are you talking about?

There’s no way I could do 225 runs in anything close to 3 hours. It’s more than 3 hours at a minute per game.

Inconceivable Surge by going to the saferoom and restarting the act, not a traditional 2 act Insane Surge run.

Oh ok so looking at that video you just run to the room and die. Yeah I think the only time I’d use that is if the ‘players’ won’t let me play with a cole or lahni in frenzy.

Just run to the door and restart the act, over and over again. Same on The Clock.

Does anyone know what the cxp is for getting from the safe room to the end on surge? I know the initial wait time in the safe room is a while but after each restart, the doors open in roughly 10 seconds, which is faster than watching the cutscene every time. I honestly don’t know though

You don’t have to watch the cutscene every time, restarting the act starts you back at the pod where you just press X.

Yeah that’s the cutscene i mean, sorry i should’ve specified, the time waiting for the doors to open in the safe room after restarting the second act is faster than watching the cutscene of your character breaking out of the pod and planting the bomb. But does anyone know if the xp to be gained is the same in the second act?

Simply put. For The Surge speedrun if you’re wanting XP do the restarting act video. If you’re wanting XP + cards did the most update to date video that I mentioned above.
