Fahz is OP in escape yes but it all depends on the players skill and the hive itself.

1.2.3. Kait, Fahz, Cole
Are all interchangeable, they all excel in high situations.
Skill Gap is something to take into consideration,
Just starting to explore Escape… I found Marcus good, for support fire. High damage resistance, big damage boost for headshots, much bigger boost for non-front fire, huge boost once he takes any damage. Rifle ammo capacity cards makes ammo pickups bigger, and lots of hammerbursts around… IF he ever found a lancer, especially retro, he would be an awesome killer…
Fahz is good, but he relies on Snipers and a lot of ammo for him to be good, a Cole is great in nearly every scenario simply because of the cards he has.
95% damage reduction with 60% more health is too good to pass up.
She had 50% damage resistance per-OP4
She has 32% damage resistance post-OP4
Thrill of the Hunt had 32% health regeneration per-OP4
Thrill of the Hunt has 32% damage resistance + 85 HP per second post-OP4
So, she gained 14% damage resistance post-OP4
Lahni feels just as equally strong post-OP4
This is not true. Kait is not interchangeable with those two. Lahni should be in place of Kait. Kait Cloak has been cut down by like 10+ secs in Escape. And if you’re playing on Master it takes a lot of skill for her to still be successful. Those other three don’t need that.
Disagree,
But To each his own opinion.
Do you play Escape on Master often? If so, do you have a high level Lahni? Kait would be absolutely useless in venom, especially maps where venom moves fast. She is a close-range character, coupled with drastic cut-down of her ultimate. I have a level 18 Kait and Lahni, and all I play is Master. Lahni is still much more superior due to her having more range plus her ultimate is more useful.
Typo on the card, it was always 30%. And now she lost the 30% from Thrill of the Hunt which apparently weren’t intended as well as the melee-resistance from Short Range Deflection which now only works for ballistics.
This was explained by one of the devs about a week ago here:
You clearly haven’t played her enough. Especially against Juvies the difference in resistance becomes noticeable, previously you could tank up to 3-4 juvies. Now more than 2 Juvies become a serious threat.

You’re right. I haven’t played with Lahni outside of the new hive. I guess I’m going to have to try this out. Is it due to the increase in Venom Blade? Juvies must not be able to bleed long enough anymore?
Did you even bother reading my post? 50% was a typo
This was pre-OP4
And @TC_MichaelAOS clearly said the skill description was never accurate to begin with.
Oh, so, the 50% damage resistance was NEVER accurate? That don’t make any sense at all, lol. I don’t listen to dev streams, let alone, really know there names.
I see what you were saying now @HerrKatzchen. I thought you were saying I had the typo wrong.
And if you’re playing on Master it takes a lot of skill for her to still be successful. Those other three don’t need that.
Disagree, Kait’s High Damage in close quarters isn’t rocket science. Name something and she shreds it with a gnasher, and Kait with an overkill and her accuracy card has the range to be an effective mini sniper from a bit of distance.
Cole and Fahz I’d argue have higher skill gaps between Lahni and Kait
Cole’s Timing with his dash, and Fahz’s handling coupled with timing and coupled with actually hitting his shots. Have the highest skill gaps in the game.
Lawni with venom bleed, and all her resistances to damage makes her a fantastic option. And if you have the skill to match the aggressive play style . She can be much more versatile than Kait. And I’d argue better than Kait if you’re very skilled.
But for how effective Kait is, for what little skill it takes to be that good. She’s interchangeable with Fahz, and Cole.
In my opinion of course. Agree to Disagree.
If they took very little skill to use then I see a surprisingly high amount of terrible Lahni and Kait players. Or maybe people really are just that bad.
I think people are really that bad and instead of playing lower difficulties, they have to play Master. Kait and Lahni isn’t as easy as people may think they are.
Master difficulty isn’t easy fullstop! The number of low level chancers I’ve seen on public matchmaking for current Escape Hives hoping to be carried through master is incredible! Thankfully they’ve removed master from public matchmaking now.
I even see lots of level 18 players who are playing as appropriate characters who seem quite hopeless. People seem to overestimate their skills. I suppose everyone has to start somewhere, and trying and failing at master is part of the learning process.
I’d disagree. Master fullstop is very tough. Even Kait has to be played with a modicum of skill and with some though to be successful. Op 4 is barely 2 weeks old and I’ve seen some awful Kait players who are level 18 getting their butts handed to them!

I can only imagine. That’s why, for the life of me, I can’t understand why people just don’t host their lobbies. That’s the only way I know how to play Escape. I have no issues getting people to constantly join my lobbies. So I see SO many high level players that just don’t know how to play.

I never thought this was gonna be this bad. I’m primarily a Kait player, and I’ll admit that she takes more skill to manage in Escape, than what I originally thought. I think some Kait players come from PvP, and that’s not gonna work in Escape.

I think it’s a mixture. I think some of them are PVE players who are used to playing as Kait in Horde, and think they can get by playing as Kait as if it’s Horde.
Although to be fair, with Escape you have quite different mutators than you would in Horde - like on Malfunction the DeeBee’s freezing bullets. The consequences of messing up at close quarters against a DeeBee in Horde is going DBNO and getting revived by JACK - on Malfunction it’s basically death.
