Everything Kait Says Is A Hidden Story About Dumping Her Boyfriend

People constantly act like I didn’t read the damn book. I did, alright. But I didn’t ever get the impression the relation between Kait and JD pre-Gears 5 went anywhere that far so stop trying to convince me of something I obviously have no belief in.

Baird had assumed so, it was just played for laughs like the scene where Marcus says “Interesting girlfriend you have there”.

I mean, maybe they’ll make something out of it but nothing’s really set up for it like Sam and Baird were in 3. Even that relationship was kind of unlikely.

This could be a self fulfilling prophecy. Marcus, Baird, Sam and Fahz seemed to have thought about this from cinematic cutscenes and Ascendance book. But from psychologically point of view, it may end up happening if not already. Only if JD survived and maybe after the end of Swarm war.

Allow me to remain doubtful. We don’t yet know how much trust or how deep of a bond Kait is willing to form with JD again after the way he acted post-Act 1, until Act 3.

What would be funny was if her and Fahz were making eyes at each other after his joke comment that she should stop falling in love with Fahz because it’s embarrassing.

Hits too close to home.

My right hand and I are both shook.

I mean JD didn’t really do Kait wrong, he may have been an ■■■ when Oscar died but he only needed to get the civilians out of the riftworm village. It’s not like he told her to man up and move on. He told her get on the raven, you’ll have your minute there.

But JD was legit not in a right state of mind, something the game hints at in the same act.

JD can keep secrets from Kait, she like everyone else is not entitled to know every single detail of his life. Del is different because he should have told Del that he ordered fire on the protesters.

I think he can repair his friendship with Kait faster than Del. But it’s not like that can happen now since you know, JD or Del is now dead.

And with Del dying in this scenario it’s likely they’ll probably grow closer because grief brings people together

JD did betray Kait. Read Gears Ascendance.

I’ve read it, and Her being upset that JD and Del rejoined the cog isn’t as Grand as betraying someone.

Kait knows that that was the only choice, because she knows herself that the COG is the only group capable of defeating the Swarm. She struggles with the idea of joining the cog the entire book.

I’m hyped for bloodlines next week

It’s not that they chose the COG. It’s that they chose to do it without telling her. When they had been through so much together, that omission was a betrayal.

They chose the cog by themselves because jinn put them on the spot. They didn’t have time to confide in Kait.

That’s not betrayal, they probably would have done so if they had been given a day like they asked.

Oh yes, Gears 4’s story was quite a bit to go through.

Even before that. JD and Del left the COG and were accepted by the Outsiders.

Visual representation of Del begging JD to leave the COG with him.

I can’t tell if you’re 23 or 53

Making secondary account…

Please keep thread on topic. I don’t appreciate derailment.

So what’s the topic? Kait’s lines sounding like they’re meant for an ex? Did TC intend for their character lines to fit your skewered interpretation? No.

Kait is killing swarm, she has a deep personal grudge
and hatred for them. Hear what you want to hear, but TC didn’t tell Laura to get into the booth and make her delivery based on an Ex Boy or Girlfriend of Kait’s
