yeah its pretty annoying that I can have double anyone else’s elims on my team (I have say 80 they have 40 each) and they can still have more GP than I do, however it makes sense design wise because it means teams get far far less for boosting/unsportman like behavior in the game, although it is mildly infuriating to see less skilled players get about the same GP as high level players, it is much more annoying to deal with teams that just farm kills/points.
I do sorta wish it rewarded you more for how fast/easily you won though, like maybe if your team won with say 6 minutes you’d get an extra 10 GP a piece or something, maybe it could go a bit further and if your team won by a landslide (say 180-60) you’d get bonus GP, that sort of thing, as it stands now players don’t have an enormous incentive to win a match in say 4 minutes because they’ll just get less GP than otherwise if they prolong the match.
Summary: The current GP system is meant to really only reward your team for winning, the cap on how much GP each person can get is to reduce farming/griefing in Ranked games.
