like how i go 27-3 and still lose lol the match in tdm cuz some guy is 3-15 or 2-20 lmao at least i can brake even or still rank up

That’s why I stopped playing tdm completely.

Tired of being forced to play with people who don’t respect the mode.

Some will just die on purpose just to get another game.

But that how TC made it…

The fact that you said you don’t feel like u should be in masters yet you are proves that it’s too easy lol but congrats man

How to get to Masters rank on KOTH:

Sit back with a pistol and take pop shots at the enemy side who your team are shooting.
If the hill is near you then you can hop in it but once you’ve got 5 captures you will want to stay far away from and go back to peppering the enemy team. You can venture closer to the action but remember all it takes is 1 bullet to hit a killed target to get that precious elimination.

no idea what they are thinking with that, yo max points at 5 caps, 10 breaks, 60 elims, then its just winning the round for 500 , there is no incentive to cap the hill now. 5 caps then who cares? just go for elims to reach masters.

you can have a team of golds vs masters but you wont get any more points for beating a masters than you would a bronze… ? that dont make sense ,

the other game i had to carry my team hard… the enemy had 90 - 80-70 -60 elims , my team had 60- 50- 40 elims , n i had 115 elims … thats i had 115 elims my best team mate had 64 elims …

their best player had 10 caps and 90 elims , i had 30 caps and 115 elims , we both had the max gp and tied for top spot … we won 180-177 on the 3rd round …

if they had got the 3 points then the other dude would have got ‘top player’ and all the extra gp for winning the match when i essentially won a 1v3-4 but i wasnt rewarded for it just a gg heres your regular 2k points you get for a standard win , it wasnt worth the try harding but just because im a sore loser i made sure we won.

fair enough i mean i was d4 , never got to d5 even tho i should have… but i just didnt have the connection for it, for example i beat d5’s in most games i played them, beat sas shadowz every time i played him, highest i got to gow 4 d4 98% then had a bad game getting sponged all game n got demoted, i never tried to get d5 , i was just on point a lot,

but point was i was always d4 without grinding ranks , and if you hopped in a party with a few good players then matches were easy , and gow 5 nothing has changed, always getting diamond every season then 1 night the other week i thought to myself i could get masters tonight if i wanted to, did the grind for masters n got it , first time in 2 games i actually tried for top rank , took me about 10 games from diamond 1 , 2 of them were losses, 1 loss i lost like 800 points, the second loss i went up 80 points ,

I think getting to Onyx and Diamond ranks is especially too easy. I see a lot of players who aren’t that good at Diamond or even at Master ranks.

Moving from Gold tier 3 to Onyx and Onyx tier 3 to Diamond should be made harder imo. Either by making the gap longer or by increasing the buy-in cost.

Gears 5 has the most rewarding matchmaking rank system on the market because of how broken it is.

It doesn’t reward skill as much as it rewards those who are able to matchmake with lower competitive players.

You have to make the game skillful first. To get skillful players.

Sort of relevant to this thread. I am so fecked off at the moment. My last 17 games of KOTH and I have won just 4 times and it’s actually worse as 3 of the 4 victories were the first 3 games!

The reason I mention it on here is that during the run I have had many Diamond team mates (im.99% solo) that are very average to under average.

To give context, I was Onyx 3 at the start of the run, now I’m half way in Gold 3 ( which pisses me off as well) but even with my “rubbish” Gold3 I’m finishing above the vast majority of Diamond 1 players.

Don’t get me wrong there are obviously some great Diamonds that would wipe the floor with me, just not too many in my lobbies at the moment.

Also, game is running awful past few days, horrendous lag spikes, lots of quitting or getting chucked.

It is times like this when Gears totally demoralizes me, I wish I could walk away, but I camt.

@Aloha_its_Kyle you are not the only one who forgets to tag me.

I feel your pain, from d3 (nearly master) went to onyx 3 from yesterday.

Today and yesterday played 14 matches, only won 4. Not to mention I’m solo aswell, mostly faced against stack masters. They wiped the floor with my team, next game I get again the same stack team and you can guess what happened… Rng never favoured me, but in this week feeling like I’m always the loser.

You’re diamond?

Since when??

@TC_Dave carried me.

This new rank system really does feel too easy… I haven’t played this game since OP 3 and I was masters OP 1-3 and I remember it being a little harder because you would lose crazy points sometimes if you had a bad game or so. I just started playing this game again in the last week and I already got to masters in TDM and have really only ran into 2-3 people I feel were actually good at this game. I get random diamonds on my team that get a less than 10 elims combined all game… all they have to do is shoot someone once and that seems too hard for them. Granted I’m on PC using kbm and sometimes it just doesn’t seem fair playing people on console but that’s not my fault. The amount of times I’ve been called a hacker is astounding too.
