i want to know who the hell decided that the dark wave skins were good enough to sell on the store? are they even trying to make skins that people want or what is going on here? They could come up with something better than that!!! U LITERALLY COULDN’T PAY ME TO USE THAT!!

of course i didnt buy them but i have never seen a skin so terrible. what i want to know is what made them think it was even remotely good enough to put into the game, lack of quality control is what im getting at.

All done on purpose, since the game has such few skins at it is at the moment, people are more willing to buy bad looking skins to at least have something different…
Just give it time. They will have better stuff coming!

LOL i said the same thing 5 minutes into my purchase! Im new to this franchise but seen the previous games and what they have. Apples and oranges.

I have more sets than I know what to do with. Team Metal, Team Rock, Neon Wave, Retro Wave, Pink Camo, Pumpkin are all in rotation for me. There are a ton more that I’ve never even used.
To be fair, most of the work probably went towards the Gut Kick execution.
Gears 5 will definitely make the money, judging from all the players I’ve seen running around with those store only skins…
Only thing I’ve ‘bought’ so far is the Niles Gnasher with the free Iron I got from Gears 4 + Tour of Duty.
That, and a $195,- costing Lancer Replica gun. (skin)

There are a some skins that I have seen that are pretty cool that are not in the store or Tod. Probably something from Gears 4 or promotions. The store skins are awful. There is no doubt MS forced TC to put this game out early Imo. Gears 5 is getting better though.

You mean the pre-order and Rockstar Lancer skins? With Gears 4, you could get the Black Phantom + Gilded skin set to carry over to Gears 5 I believe.
Problem with weapon skin sets is, once you complete one, TC will announce another skin set that you probably think looks even better. And you’re going to want/buy that…
Thankfully, I don’t care anymore about completing full skin sets. For instance, I like the Halloween skins. But I’m not going to spend 400 Iron to get the loadout weapons that I’m missing.

Agree with you on battleworn. Although I currently use Team Rock because not many people have it, I find that battleworn is underrated.
