Yeah, I thought they mentioned the safe room time in patch notes but I think it still is broken.
I still wait ages in it playing Escape so it’s deffo not fixed.
I’m not surprised, their communication skills (read: choices) are quite pathetic, especially in regards to something they’ve bungled. I swallow alot with this game because I love to play but this feels like blatant false advertising. When I see high character xp, ESPECIALLY like the 10k/5k they had up the other day, I play some of my lower level classes for obvious reasons…so when the match is over and beat, with a class I don’t particularly enjoy or play much, then I don’t get the advertised xp…it’s disappointing enough to make me just turn the game off.
I mean, we haven’t had any form of an xp weekend since Halloween, even though there’s been another holiday, a new Op launch, and a DLC drop. I think they are stingy has hell with the xp
The more things change the more they stay the same. Sigh…
Thought the same thing as first but as it turns out that wasn’t the case. Probably fixed the issue where someone joining during the decon-section would break the room making it impossible to progress.
It’s actually hilarious how laughable TCs trello is (https://trello.com/b/y4iJEJD0/gears-5).
Minor issues like Del dying in the campaign (can be bypassed in at least 2 ways) or Hivebuster skins not unlocking is added to their known list. Lizzies stim card is still listed as known when it’s been fixed for weeks/months by now.
It’s just very hard to tell if TC actually cares about anything and what their priorities are. If people were forced to wait anything between 30seconds and 2 minutes before a Versus-match the issue would probably be fixed in less than 2 days, but the PvE-folks are treated as Inferiors.
When stuff like this is publicly admitted, I’d say it’s rather concerning. Giving Dana free reign while their Community Manager apparently needs permission to post is dubious.
Which is also ironic considering you can get between 10-12k CXP with any class in 15minutes IF (and that’s a big IF ) you have a squad of 5 Skilled players.
Ok tested it with advanced run with matchmaking, most painful advanced run of my life. Still only got 1k cxp with no changes to selected mutators.
I don’t understand why everyday you guys are surprised it isn’t what it says. Stop expecting it. I bet today’s rewards are 6 cards for incon 3 cards for advanced and 1000XP for beginner.
It is but again, the changes to the display must be intended, because in Escape, again, the rewards displayed for beating The Choke on Inconceivable are given out. 1 Legendary, 3 bonus cards of any rarity and 100 coins.
It’s not “surprise” at this point, but drawing attention to it, particularly since there hasn’t been a response since Tuesday.
If you want to bring attention to it tag Tc sera and be done with it. Continually talking about it everyday doesn’t do anything If they haven’t seen the posts the past week, they won’t see them now either cuz they don’t care enough to look. Probably one of the most popularly commented posts
Well I haven’t been doing such, and it doesn’t bother me too much. More speaking on possible motivations of other forum members. But you’re claiming that the rewards shown are not supposed to be shown that way, when what is awarded is what is incorrect, unless I’m reading into your posts incorrectly.
Maybe stopping playing it will make them react?
What I’m saying is the rewards being given out are not was is shown regardless of TCs intent. People continually are saying they are not getting the 5000 and 2500 XP for advanced and beginner. Those rewards have never been given out for those difficulties (in horde). Maybe Tc wanted to change the rewards but they haven’t yet. So as of right now it is a visual glitch IMO
Not at all, it’s not just a visual glitch because sometimes I get the 7500k. I’m trying to work out what happens and why, it might help them fix it or help people do what method works to get the 7500.
We will show the big issues players are talking about and facing, along with the things that we can share progress and information on.
So this problems appears to be only be related to horde frenzy. I did todays and yesterdays challenges in frenzy and did not receive the advertised CXP but previous to that I did them through 50 waves and received every bit of CXP advertised. Im gonna continue to switch up the modes but so far its only related to frenzy.
Speculation time lol
What if this is just a visual bug? Think about! Complete 50 waves and receive the same rewards as 12 waves? Doesn’t seem right to me. What if if the CXP given from frenzy is the actual CXP your supposed to get its just TC haven’t updated it to show what you get from playing franzy. Of course I am just speculationg and have no problem being wrong but it does seem likely.
The time investment in frenzy is lower but it makes up for it by being significantly more difficult for the majority of the session. It would be odd for daily rewards to be intentionally higher in the version you can’t matchmake, given that they never mentioned this disparity elsewhere.
On the flipside, I could argue that people shouldn’t be punished with lesser rewards because they choose to play the mode they prefer. Or they only use public matchmaking which currently doesn’t have any 50 wave option(and with how bad Custom can be at times I don’t blame them). Frenzy can also often be more difficult due to double bosses and more enemies spawned per wave. I don’t find pure time commitment much of an excuse, personally.
They could really just do a weekly 50 wave challenge thing for rewards. Only reason I see why they haven’t is because they removed the matchmaking option for it due to not enough completions going all the way to 50 and frequent quitters(I wonder how much their Survivor forcing as the first modifier outside of Beginner contributed to that).
And Escape also gets the same rewards as Horde but apparently nobody has issues with that despite a match being even shorter than a Frenzy run in that mode.
You can argue all you want but I am only speculating lol.
I am just speculating that it is possible this is what TC intended Frenzy to be but neglected to update properly.
Well I would rather the person who spent longer on the game at the highest difficulty getting the better rewards than the person who stopped by for 15 minutes but each to their own lol.
Thats more down to the player than anything else. I personally don’t find frenzy to be difficult at all and only really have a hard time when I get fairly amatuer or uncooperative players in my lobbies.
Are you refering to the dailes in escape or just any map in escape?
This. The Escape dailies.
Well perhaps but it seems kind of obvious which standpoint you’re representing. Also, mind the could.
So if I spent a few hours playing Frenzy, that’s no different to playing one match of 50? Just saying.
Both can be very easy, but I don’t think you have to face Kestrels with Sentinels AND Guardians at the same time on the 50 wave mode. Well, ok, on 50 waves only the Sentinel is missing but you get the idea. There’s a larger variety of boss combinations to mess you up in Frenzy(Swarmak with a Sentinel for example, or the Wakaatu showing up with a Snatcher or Carrier, albeit I find it’s too easy to kill a boss with even a halfway competent team while you have no significant boss killers on the team eg you have a Torch Tackle Brawler, two Sluggers, a Nomad and ranged build Brawler, yet you wipe the floor with even the Wakaatu, but that’s a different complaint to have).
Most times I get fail is more down to the game than player skill because the taps spawned in a terrible spot and we got a BS spawn of Kestrel with Sentinel and Guardian while every enemy on the map immediately rushes the position which has no or very little useful overhead cover of note from the flying nuisances.
The only possible difficult thing might be less starting power in the 50 wave match but with Ultra Power Drain you won’t be building anything or very little and spending it into perks instead anyway, while the difficulty ramps up a lot more slowly ans you only deal with a relatively small number of enemies early on.
Either way my point is I don’t personally see why 50 waves would be justified in having the daily rewards be better. To me, it seems the rewards were changed or supposed to be changed across the board, but some hiccups occurred(as I heard some got the rewards listed doing Frenzy).
Now if you want to talk card drops in the 50 wave mode variant, I’m definitely lending my ear to suggestions to make it better than 10 cards for a 2-3 hour run, lest it has been changed and I haven’t noticed because I don’t think I’ve played any 50 wave runs in god knows who long, at least a few months, because they’re extremely boring.
