Daily Horde and Escape Challenge Map, Modifiers, and Rewards

It seems to be 50/50 for me.

Well, my 1st attempt today involved randomers who knew it was master and that it was necessary to fight. It took several restarts though - we were Paduk, Mac and Keegan. Went down the middle path in the 1st bit (for the Boom for Keegan). I (Paduk) had the Retro Lancer which I don’t like as much as the Lancer, but just about made it work. All in all it took about 30 minutes.

Normally what happens is every other game involves at least one person who thinks its done in the speedrun way, gets killed and leaves. Usually when they come across the Scions.

Much better for Surge imo. Elite Drones can’t parry you and you can catch up with the ■■■■■ running away in ch2.

I hopefully will get on if my son ever gets off overwatch! Up to 19 finished now and surge is one I need to tick off. Should be on in 3 hours if you are about.

Normally I just rely on chaining Fear, so I’m stunning them, and then meleeing them to execute. I just prefer the chainsaw for Juvies. The Retro has its strengths too, but I find sometimes the bayonet hit detection is inconsistent and I end up sliding off the enemy.

Yeah, that’s really annoying but from experience it’s more likely with bigger crowds. And usually there’s some space between enemies on this map. Both have their advantages but I usually go middle then right so usually there isn’t time left to get the Lancer from the left.

For me it depends on what classes my team mates are. I normally want to go left because the enemy encounter is easier than the right side, and I prefer the Lancer. If there’s a Tactician then I usually try to double back to the middle path. I haven’t played this hive as much on master compared to the others so am still experimenting with different combinations. I managed a run with another Nomad and a Pilot; with me as Blademaster and that went really well. I only realised afterwards that I had the wrong cards on - I was doing some Insane runs on The Surge so took off my venom cards (in favour of Short-Range; and Mid-Range Deflection). I didn’t even notice until afterwards (I also had Shock Chain, Brawler and Thrill Of The Hunt)!

Right side isn’t that bad either. Cole with Killing Time or Keegan with the Boomshot and Healing Module can clear out the room fairly easy. I did a few master-runs recently. @NoLmtSoldier and me somehow managed to get outside with Lizzie+Paduk. If you actually have to fight stuff this hive is pure chaos in ch2.

Btw: since when are Double Snatcher spawns a thing in Frenzy?

Since the Wakaatu booted the Carrier into miniboss tier afaik, but they only seem to appear on maps where the feathered demon doesn’t show up. Based on personal experience.

This is the last time I play dailies during the weekend. Holy ■■■■, what is wrong with randoms.

Could’ve just asked me. I don’t mind helping.

For Horde?

Either.

I’m not even bothering with the Daily Escape with randoms. Not worth the struggle. Horde is a joke though. That map is speedrunning map.

Well funny you mentioned that!

On blooddrive on several occasions we had a Snacher spawn on top of us and another on the opposite side at the same time. Also a Swarmak did the same once.

Dude your always looking for a challenge and always saying how easy everything is, so make this a challenge for yourself. You can solo the hive on your own no problem so doing it with a couple randoms should be fun for you :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Thinking about it, have you attempted the Interrogation-Spotter Support thing on The Surge? The final section seems to be a bit bigger than The End, but I think with a level 4 or higher Interrogation card it should cover most of the room. Plus as there’s overall fewer enemies I’d think more of them are prespawned the moment you enter.

Spotter Support is bugged on the Surge for some reason. Technically you could grab one of the HB-Drones in the middle and nuke everything but you either get half of the hive or nothing at all.

Same thing happened on The End. It seems like Spotter Support overall drops a maximum of 3x5 charges (with a little break inbetween the 3 blocks). Still works pretty well if enemies are clustered up.

Touché. This hive is a bit tricky though if you want to work on a lesser useful class like the Promotionals so… simply don’t want to rely on randoms in that hive and struggle with it. :stuck_out_tongue:
