Daily Horde and Escape Challenge Map, Modifiers, and Rewards (Part 2)

Great, an actually unique daily for once.

Not sarcasm for once, too.

Exactly! I can’t even remember when I saw those modifiers for the last time.

Speaking of rare mutator sets, whatever happened to the one where enemy Drones got stim? I remember it appeared a couple of times way back, but it was bugged and made enemies momentarily invincible for a few seconds after they got stim, but I can’t remember if that was ever fixed or not.

It has never appeared again since. That’s all I know.

So… I joined a lobby where some guy (who was level 20 and a high reup) started messaging “no low levels” to anopther guy who was a level 16 Brawler (I presume this was who he was aiming his message at as everyone else’s class was level 19-20). It wasn’t even his lobby, and after we loaded in, it turned out he wasn’t partied up with the host, so he was just being an elitist control freak. Anyway, guess what class he was? A sodding Mechanic, with Ultra Power Drain. He quit in wave 1 moments after he set the Fabricator down and (presumably) accessed the Fabricator menu. Stupid tosser. High class level and reup has absolutely no causal link to IQ.

I used a similar lobby name for yesterday’s daily to the one you use and guess what? I got good players and we got it first try (had Anchor, Architect, Tac, Demo and a Jack who left but a new one showed up)
Figured you would like that.

I thought I’ll join a game in horde today (in random lobby because none of my mates were online), in ephrya as bm and this what happened before wave 1 even started…

I left immediately. Back to Division 2.

Why you gotta blank out the gamertag? Id have wanted to know so I avoid the frigger. :pensive:

Deposits for 30 waves is just so ridiculously excessive. What the hell is this guy building that he needs so much power for, Fort Knox?

My personal standard for engineers is if they mandatorily demand deposits for anything but lockers, they’re clueless and shouldn’t be playing one.

I personally think the onus should be on the rest of the team to decide; and the engineer needs to be intuitive to their needs. If players want weapon lockers then they’re gonna have to deposit their share for the engineer to build one. If players want to perk up then thats also fine, but dont go demanding a locker if you havent contributed. Otherwise the engineer can build whatever they want.

My issue with many engineers is that they have very fixed ways of approaching the game to the point they try to force their approach onto other players.

There weren’t any heavies in the game (or class that requires a lockers per say). Anchor, bm, mech, Jack and striker.

He was acting like a knob, hence, why I drew a penis to block the gt.

I have never seen such a request. I mean it is common to see hosts requesting a deposit but not during 30 waves. Unbelievable.
Do you remember his rank ?

I honestly can’t remember the rank

You had bad luck. I mostly play in random lobbies and never saw this. Playing BM or Tact/Anchor and hopefully never get this message. I would have done the same as you did … no way this game could have been fun

Got the saltiest host a few days back when The Line was the daily hive. He was a Tact (level 18) and had a level 15 Brawler with him (not partied up). We got a pair of Dropshot Scions by the ammo room in the middle. After killing both Dropshot Scions he picked one up and left the other in the deep venom. I picked that dropshot up and fired at the next Scion. He went nuts. Just stood in front of me melee’ing and posting on-screen chats about how I didn’t know how to play. So, I left and then got bombarded with messages over live calling me an “idiot” (at least 10 messages). His gamertag is two words. The first word describes the bone structure that protects your brain. The second word describes what babies do before they learn how to walk.

Booo, that player sounds like a total noob who has no idea how some classes play in horde.

When I join random lobbies I never deposit if I play as BM, Tact, Anchor or Gunner. And if they kick me, I just add that host to my blocked list. Luckily it doesn’t happen too often.

I get that it’s a regular 1-50 horde but even then you can deposit all for the first 10 waves. After that I’m not depositing anything.

Interesting. I played with this guy before and he was frigging awful. A total simpleton and toxic as hell. If I remember correctly he has a habit of hosting Escape games and then kicking people when at the helipad. He’s on my blocked list too.

I blocked him after the 10th message so hopefully won’t be seeing him anymore. He ended up closing that Master lobby and switch it to Inconceivable, lol.
