D A N III 3 L'S What's Down on GEARS 5 EPISODE III

Everyday, same boring ■■■■ from these people.

correct and the lack of enemy diversity on horde and lack of maps at this point. correct.

Exactly @Thee_Bluejay in this sense TC didn’ t do that they threw away the legacy of a beautiful game and made of it a " MCDONALDS FRIENDLY VERSION OF GEARS OF WAR" pretty much that’s what we have right now in our hands.

on any level to be fair.

I’ve said this before but Microsoft should really take a look a this mess and fire TC and bring over another developer to take over… its a much needed change and a fair one.

Dude I just want higher difficulties, more enemy/weapon diversity perhaps even some more classes would be neat but higher difficulties is a lazy way of adding more replayability.

Microsoft is in the business to make money, firing hundreds of employees, starting over from scratch, just to make probably one more title (I highly doubt Microsoft will bother making another Gears title after Gears 6, I suspect they’ll just give other developers like Bethesda rights to use certain assets instead) so the ROI is awful. Even if you somehow believe Gears 6 would be 5x more popular/successful than Gears 5 it still wouldn’t be worth it ultimately.

I know my friend. that why they have to make it profitable and in this case Gears 5 its not doing that…

They don’t have to do that… they could assign TC to do a muppets game, so they don’t have to fire anyone and pass over Gears of war to another developer ( let’s be real here Microsoft have lots of developers firms as of now ) they can do it with no problem.

Its a big game and a meaningful game for Microsoft they won’t stop just of the downfall of Gears 5 .

That’s not how Gears is valued by Microsoft if I had to guess, I think the only metric (or the most important metric) that MS cares about is population and/or Gamepass numbers, so if Gears 5 is attributable to say 5% of Gamepass subscriptions they likely consider it a success, I’m aware that its impossible to ascertain the influence of Gears 5 on Gamepass subscriptions but I’m sure Microsoft has methods.

That doesn’t make any sense though, like a Fallout New Vegas 2 would give them far more bang for their buck than Gears 6 would, nevermind possibility of spinoffs/tie-ins that could be ginormous if they’re lucky.

As good as Gears is I suspect its value as an IP is extremely low, you can blame TC for everything under the sun but a cover based shooter with an extremely toxic community and low popularity isn’t what I would call a high priority for them.

Imagine playing a Fallout game and at some point you see Emergence Holes appear with Locust popping out of them, would probably make more sense to simply reuse assets then to spend 3 or more years making another title that is just going to be less popular than last.

Gears 5 is #41 on xbox live charts in terms of popularity, although it does rise dramatically at the start of operations (at start of Operation 4 it was #14 or something IIRC) I just have doubt that this is worthwhile for Microsoft, There’s a difference between decline and falling off a cliff. Although Microsoft may very well keep the studio (they’ll change their names again of course) I have my doubts that you’ll see Gears 11 or something lol.

Edit: They will 100% make a Gears 6, but I highly doubt they’ll bother after that, unless you think a Gears Tactics 2 is in order :joy:

I really hope that Gears of War games never end , it’s the only game I know how to play besides Chess…

other than that I don’t know anything else that I could excel in the gaming world.

I’m trying to play THE DIVISION with @T0NY_HAYABUSA but I’m an newbie at best hahahaha

Whereas others see this drought of content as a curse I see it as an opportunity, I can finally play other games

I would recommend you play other games that are of different genres and such.

@D_A_N_III_3_L If you enjoy brain games, could I suggest LA Noire? It’s a detective game that I think you’d really enjoy, gathering clues, evidence, etc. It’s like playing chess with the suspects of the games crimes. Couldn’t recommend it more to you.

Edit: I believe it’s currently on sale for 50% off in the Xbox store even.

If you liked LA Noire maybe you’d like Mafia II? More action and less detective, but a similar feel where you’re engrossed in an old timey world. Also Mafia definitive just released and should also be great but I haven’t got around to getting it yet.
