Gears 1 and UE were my absolute favourite gears ever! No gears will top that for me . The darkness , the gore ,the headshots ,the heavy feeling behind the characters but the learning curve was steaper in that game .

Now you just have an arcadey mess where you have RAAM saying thank you and putting a thumbs up after the match loool what an absolute fail.

The worst part is even missed shots somehow find its way to opponents body … So many occasions where i can see myself missing, but still getting kill or down somebody …

This game has aim assist too !

It started in GOW3 with the Sawed-Off Shotgun, they just implemented it to new players. Now, every gnasher is like that weapon, you need 0 skills just waiting behind walls and using your lancer. Added to the game assist you have a perfect no gears game.

Bought an Xbox when gears first came out and the only shift I truly didn’t have the urge to play within a week was Judgement, until now.

If they want to mix things up and go for a more mindless fragfest and people like it, good for them they found a new audience.

All I can say is I am legitimately depressed with how this turned out. From the Gnasher CANNON to the freakin flash bangs at spawn the design is a soul crushing slap to face about what direction they intend to go in… hope I can find a way to adapt but tbh don’t even want to play another hour to find out

Slowly slowly they turned a really original game into cod and halo … mini maps ,hitmarkers ,emotes have no place in a game like this …the hud from previous gears just displaying the weapon and ammo count added to the immersion.

Too many noobish things to count …people saying this is the best gears to date most probably didn’t play the older iterations.

This game will be dead before Christmas as already i see loads of my friends back on gears 4 and trying other games .


Flash Grenades do get annoying in KOTH.

Flashes are annoying but i dont think they are priority over crappy slow chunky movement and op weapons ,not to mention the horrendous ping and trash maps!

Your opinion as well as 90% of other veteran and competitive gears players.

They changed the game way too much to be favourited by the main audience, or even be related to previous versions.

And to people who are going to say “Companies are gonna change, adapt to it.” Well i know you’re new but other people wanna play the game they fell in love with not play call of duty.

Game has been in wide release for two days, and the multiplayer still isn’t 100% rock solid stable and fast. They are also going to give people a little while to actually acclimate to the changes they’ve made, rather than over-correct in response to a bunch of early, knee-jerk reactions from people who think the changes are the worst things ever, because it’s different than Gears 4.

If you’ve been following Cleven and Fergusson on Twitter over the past week, they’ve already identified a few things they want to change, based on constructive feedback.

Yes but they had a long time to design the multiplayer and it’s lacking basic balancing, or deliberately inaely noob like mechanics, that have been creeping since gears 3 have entered.

There really isn’t any debate, what they are doing is making weapons much easier to use across the board in many different ways (think spread and per damage pellet of the ghasher).

They need to go way in the other direction, not a minor tweak but many major one’s to even have a chance of being as good as 1/UE in terms of Multiplayer balance and fun/stay ability.

I haven’t seen them say anything about balance, just server stability.

Make it easier for new people? You must be the guy who wants a f**king trophy for coming in last. By that logic lets make marathons down hill and shorter for people who don’t normally run because easier for them and more people will do them.

Comparing participation trophies to a business is a stupid comparison. Making the game a little easier for new players to come in and enjoy the game is good for business especially with the high learning curve Gears has. As a business Gears cant survive on the same group of people with each game

It’s perfect comparison. It creates a skill gap. I’ve played plenty of games where I had to learn how to get better and would be demolished by experienced players. Am I supposed to be ok with this because “from a business stand point…” that’s what your argument is based off of??? Crying because something is hard. Soft people out here. When something is easy to get it doesn’t last. A friend played this game yesterday with other friends who are OG gears fans and he went positive in ever single game and the only thing he was doing was asking questions on “what is this and what is that”. He went positive. How does that happen??? He’s never touched a gears game. We all told him at the beginning if you get washed don’t worry there is a learning curve. We ate our words.

Tbh,

A small group of passionate players can easily keep the game alive - if quality content can be exchanged for money.

But Gears has its unique mix of playerbases and population that love this series - so a small core base with always live on.

So executions back which is a step in the right direction but still need to do something about this absurd damage !

Is it me or does eveyone have super accuracy? Doesn’t matter how much i move after I’ve been hit they always seem to hit me ! In other gears if you had good movement you could close the gap even after being hit and play for a more lethal shot but in this game movement is sooo rubbish …lol thing is watching the killcams and seeing someone 4 point your toe around cover …:rofl::rofl:

I thing only skilly bounce player would understand what u r saying. Well, i agree. To be honest i hope they nurf gnasher to the point it was on gears 4 escalation, change tha damage red screen and fix hitbox. Anyway, im over this by now and tryin to adapt.
