They should’ve put more here at launch.
I feel like it is a beta or something. I’m stupidly waiting for the competitive side of the game to come out. This is just too freaking casual and I feel bad for already being bored and tired of the game.
They’ve dropped the ball fully on this one and every one after the original and went for a casual arcade/cartoon game instead of the dark and gory game that was gears 1 ( every other gears after 1 was too bright for my liking)
Well I can tell you one thing I played nothing but core in gears 4 and it felt just like gears 1-3. I envied gears 4 once everything was fixed, I could not stand competitive in gears 4.
But oh boy they literally ruined gears 5 game is judgment 2.0 such a awful experience.
I hope everyone stops playing it so TC know they messed it up and not take there loyal fans for granted, guarantee all the people that are saying mp is good will stop playing the game in 2-4 weeks

Its just where we are headed. This new generation of gamer just cant be asked to sit down practice and improve. More people are gaming now than ever, so unfortunately the money is in catering to the least common denominator.
^This^ It’s just sad that the integrity of the unique gameplay of Gears has to be so disrupted with the method they went about accomplishing this.
I know dude but gears is gears ! Its my favourite franchise but its losing its originality . Feeling more like cod and halo every iteration.
TC really screwed this game up. My whole squad dislike this game, this isn’t Gears anymore, doesn’t feel like it. It’s now “Gears of Duty”! Every battle is a camp-fest assault rifles everywhere. Picking up weapons is unnecessary, you can run with just lancer and gnasher. This game is now catered to newcomers and casuals. They’re doing this for money not realizing that the casuals won’t stay long. It’s the hardcore fan that keeps the game going and will buy all their DLC’s and more. I’m beyond frustrated, already bored with this game and it’s only day 3. Once MW4 comes out, good bye!
I know how you feel dude , i have a huge friends list that plays gears they’re more like family ,30+ people that i chat to on a daily basis we play gears Privates for hours and hours and not a single one of them like this one … Everyone has the same complaint of op weapons and stale maps!

Bunker alone is the worst map in Gears history
They need to tone down the lancer power and the gnasher range …i feel like the gnasher is too easy to use and anyone can get a kill , Maybe its to do with the extra pellets they added to the spread but it 1 bombs you behind cover soo easy where-as back in other gears you wouldn’t get gibbed behind cover quite as much as this game…
Nerf gnasher range and take a look at the pellet spread
Lancering needs a nerf slightly as way too powerful
Flash nades need looking at as the spamming is annoying
Ping and servers are trash atm.
Tc needs to fix this before the game dies before it has lived …couple days in and I’ve seen loads of people back on gears
man I can relate to this … back in gears 2 when I played everyday like 6-8 hours a day had at least 20 -30 ppl played with chatted with, quit when gears 3 came out cuz this very reason.
op weapons like this aint what gears is about ,
and just like you all the ppl I play with except a few don’t like it … we played last night and most ppl got off after couple games and we only played maybe 10 games before I was playing solo
Thats sad mate …we would play gears UE and gears 4 for hours untill the early Morning …we tried gears 5 private yesterday and it was soo dead …no vibes ,just didnt feel like a fun gears game. eveyone jumped off after an hour … gears has lost its originality…

ROW5, Rifles of War. It’s what every match amounts to, camping with rifles. 1 weapon tuning, but it’s unplayable.
There’s no reason to choose this over the new COD: Modern Warfare at this point, since the unique gameplay of Gears is basically gone in place of a generic shooter now, just in 3rd person rather than 1st person.
Just come back to UE, that is where actual greatness resides.
Gears 5 MP isn’t even mediocre, it’s genuinely a ■■■■■■ time and the devs have no word on it so far, nothing, not even a Octus post.
