Competitive audience has been sold out (core)

Good job yeah?. The servers are down and no one play. Absolute nonce.

This 1000x over.

I mostly play Guardian and KOTH and as such I HAD to adjust to core tuning.

I tried escalation last week and it’s like an entirely different game from run speed, weapon damage and even lag compensation. I really wish TC would understand that several different tunings is just a bad idea that should be abandoned.

Yay. And yet another elitist thread

I agree on the weapon damage. The lancer and gnasher are WAY OP. I was getting downed with one shot from the lancer at 20-25 feet…

I would imagine the devs will nerf most of these in future updates because right now its shocking! LOL

I haven’t played Gears 5 since the first two tech tests. Does the game still feel pretty much the same I won’t know until the 10th. I have heard some people are really not happy with how the new Horde is compared to Gears 4. I also been hearing about alot of issues with their servers still.

Servers are trash atm .getting kicked out of games and very bad ping and latency… literally the same exact problem’s the tech test had which they obviously didnt bother looking into and fixing .

Every gears launch is the same !

Wow sad to hear! You would think they would be better prepared for these big game releases especially an Xbox exclusive game like Gears 5… Seems like alot of the same complaints that I saw during the tech test are still prevalent. You would have thought they would have fixed alot of things before launch they still had some time. I am a Gears vet been playing Gears since the release of Gears Of War in 2006 so hopefully they get it all straightened out.

The worst thing is they are hiding these posts because they dont want their precious game to fail !

What I see out of this: The Gnasher isn’t the sole weapon of the entire game and therefore the game is bad. Got it.

I just don’t think that is a valid argument.

Almost every game that is HUGE and respectable has a had a really high skill gap. Think of the top games that are played today. Fortnite, CSGO, Apex etc they all have a really high skill gap between good a bad players. Why? Because that’s what makes great game.

It’s bizarre to me that they seem to think that making something casual will keep players, nobody wants or respects that.

Take off your shades and read it again. I don’t think anyone is saying that.

Honestly, I don’t think the weapon damage itself is too bad. It’s really more that the movement is garbage and there are apparently all kinds of auto aim and assists to make everything insta kill if someone hard aims. Like, unless there is something going on with the spread of the gnasher, I don’t get how so many of my deaths are from people hard aiming at the blank space I was at a second ago.

Like OMG DUDE!! WHAT ARE YOU SAYING!? I LOVE THE NEW GEARS! It shows to me how trash players really are when they complain like this! I can wall bounce, jump over cover and one shot a goofball right in the third eye from a 100m with a gnasher and it feels GRRREEEEEAAAAAATTT!! If you’re finding it difficult to kill when it’s now EASIER then maybe your just not as good as you think you are brooo. All these people like Golden Chuck and Headhunter supporting your lame opinion smells like ■■■ bro. Maybe you just need to get good. Well done to the developers for making a Gears that works. I hope one day I see you on the battlefield so I can teabag you next to the boom boom. Trash ■■■ players need to sit down. Gears 5 for president baby! And Myra is still HOT

So basically what you are saying is you sucks in the previous 5 gears titles, but you are mediocre in this one, so it’s time to brag fause you can actually get a kill from 50ft away now?

Seems like you were the one who was getting teabagged the hardest

Koncept thanks for your input but its not needed , cheers mate . Your talking about teabagging at boom i remember already doing that to you !:rofl::rofl:

Spelling errors about make your point irrelevant

Lmao

Says the guy who made his own errors, while commenting about my two typos.

My repsonse must have been relevant, considering you didn’t actually rebut any part of it at all.

Moron.

Lol

It’s the stopping power, its always been about the stopping power and the OP riflkes making gears something its not.

Gears is about power weapons, headshots and shotgun duels that is where the excitement of Gears lays. Encouraging Lancer is a really ■■■■■■ thing to do and simply isn’t fun

They actually totally could mimic the old games. Everyone acts like Gears 1 is SOOO hard to play or learn or that newbiews are so incredibly incompetent in the game the will be looking up at the sky and walking in a circle. No anyone with even a mild amount of experience playing a third person game will have absolutely no trouble jumping into Gears. Just don’t pit newbies against vets with +10 years of experience in MM and there wouldn’t be a problem.

Stopping power has never actually been the issue, except in Gears 3. All other games the stopping power is reasonable.

No the real problem is how quickly the weapons down you and the ease at which they can do this. If you get crossed at all you die so fast it’s ridiculous. SP may play a small role in that it’s harder to move from cover to cover and it reduces the need to aim for the rifle user, but at the end of the day the fact the weapons do so much damage so easily is what ruins the game and has been ruining the game since Gears 3.

Gnasher in Gears 1 had very short range. Lancer in Gears 1 did more damage than Gears 2 or 3, but it also had the smallest clip and the most strict requirements for accuracy. You needed to land nearly every shot, and aim from cover while standing still to be accurate. Nowadays you can be hipfire strafing and still be pinpoint accurate, and you can down nearly 3 enemies in 1 clip (ie. you have a huge margin of error). It took skill to use Lancer in Gears 1 against an opponent with good movement. Later Gears titles also have a severe lack of cover which just made the problem worse. Gears 1 maps were very cover dense which negated the strength of the Lancer.

I’m just tired of it. Gears 1/UE is what the game is and always should have been. The design of UE was damn near perfect Gears experience. But the devs always feel the need to fix what isn’t broken, so now we have the mess that is Gears 5.

Glad I’ve moved on to other games at this point. Never thought I’d be disgusted by a Gears game but here we are. The franchise is dead to me. Gears UE will forever be the best Gears game, and ironically it’s technically not even made by TC. It was made by Epic, by an entire different set of people. TC just polished it up.
