Now I’ve seen it all, someone who wants a player to not use the Gnasher. Was it in Coop vs AI by any chance?
This went down in modern warfare, my brother is pretty good.
I try to play only Gears, especially MP otherwise I’ll end up getting Rusty.
Shotguns are despised in CoD lol. Exact opposite of Gears.
Oh, right. I don’t tend to be very knowledgeable about COD these days with me having not played one of those in many years. Last one I’ve played must’ve been on my 360 that stopped working because of the jammed disc tray I never managed to fix. Unless I left the casing off to have a metal box lying around with all the internals exposed.
I’ve played some warzone, but I haven’t really touched Cod heavily since Black Ops 3
You are correct.
Only Matriarchs and Carriers would be able to instantly kill Clayton only if he gets closer to them.
Edit : Even Sires and Snatchers. But they provide a large enough window for you to be rescued by your teammates before they kill you. So they aren’t a big of a threat compared to the above mentioned enemies.
I haven’t played any of the future hives, so I have no knowledge of the mutators either.
I agree.
But I have seen a few lobbies on custom having the title, ‘Bug Clayton’ on hives such as ‘The Gatekeepers’ and ‘The Split’. So it would just be a matter of time in which they would exploit this glitch to occupy top positions in the leaderboards for these hives.
The Snatcher in Escape actually seems to instakill if it picks someone up. Can’t tell if that’s a bug or intended.
But it can’t down Claytons if they’re invincible.
I think this will depend on what you mean by top positions on the leaderboard.
Effective score runs rely on playing in a specific way and doing specific things, and I think having so many Clayton’s who have to stay in close proximity to each other will limit some aspects of a score run. For Gatekeepers they still need to kill certain enemies to even progress, ideally quickly and using 3 Clayton’s would probably mean that some bosses like the Matriarch and Swarmak will take longer as they won’t have the damage output for the weapons available. They’d probably have to go with 2 Clayton’s and someone else like Fahz or Kait. Sentinels and Guardians may present more of a problem as well.
I think the people who will benefit from this exploit/cheat are those who haven’t mastered some Hives yet, and use it just to do that so they can unlock the TOD Escape Master medal. I don’t think (or at least I hope) they’re not the sort who will be pushing for high scores. At most they may try for a top 5% position for the Gear Coin reward, but beyond that, probably not.
That said, it may be possible to do a true score run using 2 or 3 Clayton’s, but this would probably be done by a team who would normally achieve a top 1% score the legit way anyway. This would just be a shortcut to them.
Unless you use a certain COG tag duplication glitch alongside the Clayton exploit.
I think even without the COG Tag glitch, it may be possible to achieve a reasonable high score on some Hives (which I know is contrary to what I said in an earlier post, but having rethought it, I think it may well be possible now). Invincible Clayton’s would be able to perform the meat-shield tricks easily which add more score. They’d have time to mark targets before killing them without the threat of death. The main downside is that they’d be slower as they have to stay together. Having said that the venom wouldn’t kill the Clayton’s either, but may result in lost kills if the venom kills the enemies instead.
Plus the invincibility trick only requires 2 cards per Clayton, so they could also throw on both score cards and still have space for something else.
I just think that the people who will be using this glitch, are hopefully not the sort who are motivated by high scores and just treat it as a means to an end to master a Hive that they haven’t been able to do legitimately, or at best someone who wants to achieve a top 5% position rather than achieve a super high position in the top 50 players in the world. I may just be naive in thinking this, but in my mind the profile of these people is that they’re poor-mediocre Escape players who now have a super-easy-mode exploit to use. I suspect that these players probably wouldn’t even have the knowledge as to what methods of killing enemies achieve the best scores. I wouldn’t say it’s exactly well known.
From what I’m seeing people who use this glitch are mostly those who need to master the maps and those who need to get into 5% for rewards.
To compete for leaderboards the third person has to be the one who can do significant damage.also not all non-Clayton characters are immune to damage.
I tested with my friends playing as Lahni and Paduk on The Split. I died both times.
That’s because the non-Clayton characters only get up to 60% flat damage resistance in Escape from the two Uncle Clay cards. They don’t have Bait Armor and therefore can not get immunity the same way as the Claytons do.
In Horde you could obviously get up to 150% flat damage resistance when running 5 Claytons (pointless but you probably get what I mean).
What about Heavy and Explosive Resistance? Wouldn’t non-Clayton characters be immune to those?
Yes we figured unless 3rd person has his own health card or damage resistance card, that character can still be very vulnerable to damage.
I’d like to see 5 Clayton in Horde standing in a circle and doing Rock, Paper, Scissors
Would be more fun with 5 JDs.
That’s correct, if you add Heavy Deflect/Blast Shield to the cards of the Claytons, then the third player will be immune to heavy weapons/explosives respectively.
Yeah, like they couldnt make any other characters good because JD and Kait were so OP at launch…
I did object to heros at start but the system has grown on me and i think this move to revert back to generic skins and skills which are not related to skins is a step backwards…
I don’t see what the hero system adds. It’s a gimmick that doesn’t change the gameplay of a class whatsoever. What is innovative about it when there is still a bunch of people who dislike it or are at best indifferent to it, and all it does is force people to play a character they don’t necessarily want to - because let’s face it, some of us DO care about them beyond mere cosmetic appearance?
And I don’t buy an argument with it being needed, MP doesn’t follow lore, and you can create your own “hero” shooter experience with a class system without forcing anyone else to have to partake in it.
I noticed yesterday that there is a new top score on Lethal Engagements accomplished by a “two man team”.
From what I’ve read on here, the previous top score was already believed to be unattainable without using the COG Tag glitch, so it seems glitched Claytons are already being used to skew the leaderboards.
when playing with randoms who aren’t using mics it makes it easy to know what general capabilities you can expect on the team… That’s about it…
When I see a JD, a Kait, and a Keegan, I know what’s going on and who is likely to be doing what…
Then you start and realize that JD is actually Cole, Kait is actually Lahin, and Keegan is really Mac
Versus is different, everyone has the same weapons and abilities…
