Yeah that’s the one.

I remember waiting for like 45 mins for a cassette to load one level up and then always dying within like 60 seconds. Just then to wait another 45 mins.

They’re not the same, fam.

Gears 3: Unlock Gold Medic to unlock Kantus
Gears 5: play 40 rounds of versus, 50 waves of Horde, 18 chapters of Escape, 60k XP earned , and a unique challenge to all of them.

The worst part is you can’t even grind more than one guy at a time. It’s brutal.

The problem is the fact that everyone feels obligated to do everything as fast as possible as if there was no time left, but there is 9 weeks between seasons and you can easily unlock a character a week just by playing the game as you normally would.

I know TC is to blame for a lot of multiplayer related things, but people are starting to complain about everything, even the not so bad things. Gears 4 was way harder to unlock content, still people now make it sound as if loot boxes and season passes are so much better.

In gears 4? What was there hard to unlock?

Took me a day to unlock Cog Gear and 5 weeks to finish Tour of Duty. That’s what I mean.

What was that hard to unlock in 4? I don’t care how long it took you, and how much money you gave. I don’t give a ■■■■ abut toure of duty, because it is a ■■■■. And rewords are ■■■■… Tour is just play and give them money. Because you need to buy iron, for new ■■■■ tasks… That will give you one of tree stars. As soon as you finish small ■■■■ of task give even more money, for another ■■■■ task…

Exactly dude, it’s this new generation of cry babies that demand everything here and now. Could the system be improved? Of course it can but you can tell most of these idiots have been spoon fed everything fo too long. What a shame, you have to play your game to unlock things, boo ■■■■■■■ boo. Bunch of entitled brats.

In fact it is not like gears 3, in comparison, the Gears 3 unlocks for the good stuff was more Grundy than this.

Just in case some people do not remember character unlocks in g3. In g3 you could not buy these characters, you had to earn them. In g5 you have to spent a lot of time while some others just spend 5 dollars per character. This is not fun, I don’t even want to unlock them it feels kinda cheated.

I actually think the new characters are a nice addition and I like how you have you unlock them through challenges. That being said, the fact that you can simply buy them for $5 defeats the whole purpose of grinding for them. It just feels less rewarding, and you can’t wear your character with as much pride imo

The problem I have is most of the cosmetics should of been in the game and launch even characters and more maps. Personally I don’t like escape and horde get very boring very quick for me. So for me if I do want the skin I have to pay alot of money for one skin that won’t transfer to any other game. I would rather pay 10 dollars for 4 new maps then worthless skins

You bought like 8 characters with the season pass tho

What good stuff? Please elaborate. Everything I used in Gears 3 came from leveling up normally. There was nothing I wanted in that game that I had to go out of my way to unlock.

The point is they were only available for purchase. Not do these challenges or pay some money.

That would be a fair grind I agree with you

Yes us idiots are being such entitled brats for being upset that our favorite game is regressing rather than improving…

Of course they are, but they’re forcing players into modes they don’t like to unlock characters. Gaming should be about choice and inclusion.

Example. Raam’s totem requires 18 chapters of escape for one of it’s challenges. For those that don’t like escape that would be an issue.

Why not 18 chapters of escape, or 18 grenade tags, or x, y or z. They could have given us choices instead of forced play.
